I've been to a number of great concerts. The best was Lana with my girlfriend when we were seniors in high school. Being the terrible influence I was at the time, we ended up meeting up with her friend molly between our hometown and the venue. It started pouring rain halfway through the show. It was Godsend. The girl and I were in the very back of the venue in general admission. While hundreds of fools fled the front row seats that were getting hit by torrential downpours, all semblance of order broke down (regarding only people who had tickets sitting in the best sections). It was a big venue, but there were probably 20 to 30 real fans standing right at the edge of the stage, getting completely soaked to the bone, and listening to diet mountain dew from less than 10 feet away. The rain hadn't stopped, but the next song she started was Born to Die, and hundreds of people came rushing back, absolutely overwhelming stadium staff, so some people were absolutely unhappy about the "moshiness" of the situation, but I loved it. She just kept singing throughout this entire shit show, and it also happened to include my favorite song of hers and all-time favorite song. I cried pretty much the entire time. It's **by far** the most beautiful 10 minutes of my life. Things may have gone to shit for me approximately 2 years later, but I'll always have that memory of standing there on a hot summer night in the pouring rain with a girl I had been dating for almost all of 12th grade, waves of serotonin pouring over every inch of my body; listening to the greatest female vocalist ever, and one of the greatest vocalists ever. I'd honestly say she's tied with Chris Cornell for #1 all time artist in my book. I both deeply regret not taking a video of the experience so I can witness it again, but I also feel strongly that the best way of attending a concert isn't with a phone in my hand the whole time. Pro tip, if there's a safe place to prop your phone up against a wall / railing you should just take a video of the entire show. Alright, done with my essay, hope someone gives it a read :)
