  • Over the last 4 years the loss of the love of my life, being diagnosed with cancer twice and presently going through palliative chemotherapy, one might think there's not a lot to be content with? But this short video tries to explain how life can still be so enjoyable even through difficult times.

I feel selfish saying this, but I have benefited so much from following your journey. Your journey and latest vlog have really levelled me, made me stop, think, reassess and reset. Your situation represents many of the greatest fears we ALL have, loss of a loved one, cancer, pain, BUT you also project an energy and strength we would ALL dream of having facing such challenges. What the nurses gave you, you have transmitted through your channel. Looking forward to the next CRF, Boxter or maybe some winter skiing adventures!

Good on you Brian 👍💪🙏🏻 The power of positive thinking allied with simple acceptance provides great boosts & seem to encourage awareness of more & yet more of the blessings of life we were perhaps too busy to spot earlier during the journey. 496.

People like you Brian, makes me believe that it does not matter how bad it gets, there is always joy, content, peace to find in life. You are the living example of a life being lived to it's full extent. I have nothing but praise, good wishes and lots of love for you. Just remember with these videos of yours, you have many who are proud and will always be there emotionally if not physically with you.

Enjoyed that. I was a futurist in my career and saw my own destiny. My wife agreed, but family and friends couldn't understand our move, emigration. To escape the race and scale down. It became even less than anticipated even to on the brink of personal bankruptcy, but strangely we kept believing in what we were doing, reinventing ourselves. Target, creativity and starting small and simple did the trick and slowly we managed to wiggle ourselves out. Our simple business grew and bridged us to our retirement, now even an income falling like rain out of the air.... I like your back ground. My mother told me as a child, if you feel homesick or alone, look at the clouds and think of where these have been or going to, they are everywhere on this planet and travel very far... We are fortunate to live on a spot where we can be ourselves, at ease and enjoy our surroundings at our own pace in tranquil settings. Anyway, I, or YT we, like your thoughts, thks. PS Kielder lieplish my weekly swim/sport resort. Almost like holifay!

Thanks for that, interesting stuff 🤗 I use to do a fair bit of lake swimming but feeling the cold far too much now, someday I may do a short one again but it'd have to be tropical and in the north of England that is rarely the case as I'm sure you know! 😆

Hi B, sorry to say but I am a softy, not a doyle, as I am not a wild swimmer. Neither a real summer, but at K there is a nice swimming pool with sauna, turkish steam room and a fully equiped gym... No retirees here to do outdoor pursuits... and my hobby is petrol head, my den..... Going to K is more a short holiday rather than exercise. Could meet for a coffee there if thats not too far for you? Reg G

As a confirmed pessimist most of my life, years ago something I read sunk deep into me and changed my attitude to life was "the wonderment of the eternal now",since we met at the little cabin cafe in the Lakes(red CB500X)you've been the reinforcement of that.
Thank you for your inspirational videos as a blueprint for life.
