Hey Anthony, don't know if you reply to the comments anymore, but I am very curious how life is going for you. The IRL videos have immense nostalgia for me as it were THESE VIDEOS that got me into WoW (First saw these videos 7-8 years ago). I never was anything more than a casual player, but the IRL videos made me fall in love with the game and especially Blood elf paladins(90% of all characters I made in wow are blood elfs lol). Each time I see your videos I get the nostalgic itch to go back and level a blood elf paladin through the starter zone. Thank you for these videos :D
Hey! Thanks for your comment. I'm glad to hear how much nostalgia has come from watching my films. I do get nostalgic too when watching them. It was a very different time of my life. The first one came out about 11 years ago now, so a lot has changed. I'm doing pretty good, I do still play WoW (on my belf protpala) although much more casually now. I am also still figuring out my path in life you could say, but that is just an endless adventure. I have been toying with making a 3rd film to go over the last decade since I released the first film, but I am a bit torn on whether I should. If I make it, who knows but it won't be like the first two. Thanks again for your comment.
Fantastic work as always. Your first film allowed me to kick the habit after a long battle between my addiction and my real life. I too have come to find balance and moderation between my gaming (no longer World of Warcraft: my server is dead and that game sadly holds nothing for me these days) and my real life. I look back fondly on my times from the game and I still consider many from it friends. I regret that I lost control of my life, but I feel the lesson learned in regaining it is greater.
This was incredible and I can relate to it on absolutely every level. It's almost part for part my Warcraft story. Thank you for making and sharing this, it means a lot!!
I found so many parallels in this film to my own life, and it's touched me as I'm sure it's touched the other players who've watched this. A lot of people don't realize, how much WoW can effect a person, and how much you can gain from it. Building a guild, raiding with people from all over the world that become such good friends. Thank you for making this, and I wish you all the best.
Rewatching this 7 years later. Thanks again for the message. I currently game as well, but have found that it's OK to turn off the game and go out IRL and do things that create memories that are tangible. Plus, my feet don't hurt anymore when I stand. :) Thank you again for this strong message.
This film really described my situation more than the last one and I really feel like you were spot on with how the game has turned casual in a good way.
I love this video. I can watch it time and again and still get emotional as I did the first time around. I started my WoW account in 2005 also, and have stopped now and then, but tend to come back to it with each expansion released. Your video has helped me control the need for WoW, and at the same time not feel guilty for wanting to play it and finding that balance. Cheers Anthony.
This continuation from your original video is pretty awesome. I think many many people have lived experiences in line with yours and identify with your experience. I know I do. And I have come to realize just what you are saying in this video. Keep it up man, and thanks for sharing your story.
I am one honoured man to be apart of this film! It's one amazing film Anthony! You should be really proud of this fine piece of art! May it reach the top! :)
I would like to thank you for opening up my eyes. I'm in a similar situation, I just started the University to become a game programmer and I've been playing World Of Warcraft since the release. Your film has made me realize that World of Warcraft is nothing that can stand in the way of achieving my goal in life. It's time to focus up on what really matters, and that is what I've always wanted to be, a game developer. Thank you so much, sincere regards, Tony.
Hey Anthony, rewatching this movie. I took a break from WoW this march so I can 100% focus on university exams; was worth it. I passed ;-) For me, you have also been motivation. I told myself if this guy can focus on the important stuff then I can do it too! Currently taking a break again so I get hyped enough for the new addon, will you be playing it aswell or did you stop WoW altogether in the meantime? I really like playing a couple of months and then taking a break; I don't have the mindset that I have to complete everything in the game anymore..that's a good sign ;-) Have a nice day and good luck.
Absolutely amazing production value anthony, I'm really proud and happy for you. Music was well positioned, game footage was smooth and transitioned well, and the grand vision you had for the video theme and flow overall was spectacularly pulled off. Obviously as a guy close to your age this hits home as WOW did affect my academics, but like you, it took some time and I have overcome and look forward to the future more than ever, so I really appreciate your message. Big Kudos from me, sir.
Great video, I can relate to it, I was addicted to games when I was in middle school, I lost many friends and shunned many people I cared about and played games 24/7, I miss them so much right now. With some effort I overcame my addiction, It's a wonderful feeling to have your life back, I still play games like 5 hours a week tho. Addiction is horrible, doesn't matter if it's about drugs or a video game, life is short.
Just the original menu music resonates with me as serenading not the best period of my life, but certainly a fun one. Excellent work on this! I found it more developed, colorful, and focused than the first film.
I think this guy deserves respect, very few people come to like him, kudos to him! (sorry for the spelling, I'm french with a very limited English so this message was doing with Google translation)
Amazing, I haven't even watched the first one (about to now!) but I was blown away. Gorgeous cinematography and pacing, eloquently written. The MoP music at the end was just the icing on the cake!
Thanks you for this awesome video and greetings from an old 7years+ player I have lot of respect for what you did with your choices, and for the work you're sharing with us now. Leaving a game you spent so much time on it is isanly hard, as you explain well, it becomes a part of you, and the character become likes you, or a member of your family, and the people you have fun with in game too; but most important, you got what you want for your life, that's great. GL&HF for everything man.
Had all that, in WoW, for many years. At the end I had to burn all bridges to get out. It was painfull. I was heavily involved in the guild, raidleader etc, but the GM became resentfull when I tried to ease the huge workload, pressured me into 'duties'. I burned out badly. Now, I'm very wary of all mmo's, especially anything involving guilds. I never want that kind of stress and sorrow again. If I play, it's mostly singleplayer, coop with friends/family sometimes, but never so guildbased again.
It's amazing how WoW touches peoples' lives. I too have played for over 6 years and share many of what's afflicted you over this journey. Over this time, I got married and my wife started playing with me as well, and sometimes we wonder if we spend too much time online. Truth is, as long as you have balance in your life, you're spending time with friends, working/studying, and you feel like WoW is just another aspect of it (and not its center) you're probably good. It seems you've done that :)
As a gamer, musician and film maker (I put my emphasis on film music, although I'm a trained film editor) I enjoyed your videos. I luckily never had the problem of a WoW addiction (I have way to many hobbies I enjoy for that ^^) but I can imagine that this world can be quite captivating. Keep it up, I hope I will see more of your work in the future.
hey anthony, especially during the second part of the movie I was moved to tears...so many similarities to my own personal story. 10:33 I am so jealous that you could see the 100m race at the London Olympics last year...I visited my brother in London two weeks after the event. Those things are worth fighting for.
Excellent video. I too had a massive addiction to WoW, and lost many RL friends due to it. In the end though, I reconnected with those friends; and even now, not once do I regret my decision playing WoW. I had an immense amount of fun playing it, and it helped me get by some hard times in my life, because it made time go by really quickly, which is what I needed. But WoW helped me in a lot of ways ironically. It made me a more social person, it made me comfortable leading a team of people as a raid leader and GM, and it helped me refine leadership and social skills I use today. Thank you for making this wonderful video. I'm glad you got through it and wish you all the best.
This was beautiful, my friend! So well put together. I found myself in a position like yours. It's great to be immersed in such a different realm. New things always to explore, and all sorts of people to meet. But always in moderation. Congratulations on your success. Keep it up.
What an awesome video :D I also used to be in your guild, had a fury warrior called Anore. Had some awesome times raiding with you, but also had to stop for university. Was really cool to see this. Hope you are well and best of luck with everything in the future.
PS: And what's crazy is that my main has been a belf prot pally just like yours, so the verisimilitude to my story was even deeper. Thank you for sharing your experience with all of us, and making a great job while at it.
Terrific video. Very well done. Nice to see you share your experience of pulling yourself out of a gameplay style that was treating WoW like a job rather than a game. I hope this film resonates with others in the same position.
Thank you for this moments. For your view, for the goosebumps.. I am a wow-player too, and I understand and feel everything you say. I was sitting here, nodding my head saying "oh yes... so true".
I like video games, but that doesn't mean I can let my hobby consume my life, great video. I also like football and reading books, but I can't let them take my life. Life is all about balance, live your life, meet some friends, and play some games or read some books, the tricky part is how you handle it and how much time you spend on each hobby/activity.
And here you are, your own little movie :) i'm kinda right there you are at the moment, allthough i havent achieved just yet what you have. but i'm working on it, i had an addiction to world of warcraft for about 7 years of my life, but as of this state. i'm playing it more casually and currently doing study aside from it.

I do know how bad some stuff was. That doesn't change the fact that I would much rather play Vanilla or BC to this current crap. I never had to worry about being addicted to WoW because from WOTLK and onward the game died slowly, and we can thank Activision for that.
You mean those servers that have hundreds of bugs and glitches? No thanks, i'd rather Blizzard come out with a copy of WoW that's an older version. That would be a different icon on your desktop apart from the live version. These servers would be dedicated to vanilla or BC. They would benefit with all the money they'd make off them with subscriptions.
Vanilla wasn't good, it was filled with imbalance, even more then there is now. Bugs, grinding wich is worse then MoP's, and it was VERY time consuming. and you think that is better? i cant win with you, cya around
I'm the same as Anthony, I like video games too, but I like to play them in moderation. I used to play WOW, but I quit after three years when I realized how much I missed out on the other things I enjoyed doing in life. Maybe I'll get back on WOW someday, but maybe not so soon.
Just saw this on Reddit and watched your first video also.. honestly lost for words. Wonderful video. I feel like world of warcraft did the exact same to me and quitting had to be one of the best decisons I made.. I still have the urge too play but don't have the time or money anyways so I assume thats best. Thanks for the awesome videos!!
This is amazing! I myself also play wow and am studying at college in media production and journalism. Your story is a motivation for me although I haven't become too absorbed in wow since coming back after cata
Hi! I'm a Film maker too, played wow from classic to bc and stopped playing/raiding to learn my passion...so i made some similar experiences... your film really catched me...! Nice work!
Games are part of your life. If you like it, is an important part of that life. Is obvious that you have to do other things, but dont forget the things you like.
Beautiful video Been playing Warcraft on and off for the past 5 years myself. I would play it all the time, but I use a debit card just for it and when I want to stop I just don't put money on it anymore so I can't afford the subscription for it. I go back to it every now and then, binge for a month but after that, I'm done for another 6 months. Thanks for sharing mate
almost cried at the end got a bit emotional this video really touch me i have been going some tough times at the moment. can't let the game control me sure it's fun to play but i have to put real life first. thanks
Amazing video, you are really good. When i watched your first video for 2 years ago i switched to Horde and started to play a blood elf paladin. Thought it was so cool :).. But im glad that you are not addicted anymore and can play casual. Its a great game to enjoy. Good luck with your videos. And hey, you got a cool narrator voice so you can maybe be a voice actor at blizzard. :)
I can totally relate to this, unfortunately I was a little worse off since my addiction actually had health consequences. I'm okay now, and I even went back to playing for a little while after I healed, but eventually I moved on. I'm not really much into MMOs anymore, but I can definitely understand the appeal since I experienced it.
Merci frifri c'est trop cool cette vidéo ! Je crois aussi que le gars doit péter un cable en voyant tous les commentaires en français XDD le pauvre il doit se demander ce qu'il lui arrive

I've never played a second of WoW in my life and I don't really plan to but just as a gamer in general this video is quite touching to me.
+Olcay It's nowhere near as addictive as it used to.
Fantastic work as always. Your first film allowed me to kick the habit after a long battle between my addiction and my real life. I played back in BC and Wrath on QT and I remember QTYC. It's nice to have stumbled over this video years later
This was incredible and I can relate to it on absolutely every level. It's almost part for part my Warcraft story. Thank you for making and sharing this, it means a lot!!

This film really described my situation more than the last one and I really feel like you were spot on with how the game has turned casual in a good way.
Thanks, and yeah, actually the MoP music somewhat inspired me to make this film, it is so cinematic and powerful it needed to be shown to more people!
I love this video. I can watch it time and again and still get emotional as I did the first time around. One of the best movies I've seen on youtube, great job! :)
the ending was fucking amazing i hope you become a movie director
This is a very inspirational story! It was very well told through excellent cinematography and editing. Very well done.
It's amazing how WoW touches peoples' lives. I too have played for over 6 years and share many of what's afflicted you over this journey. Over this time, I got married and my wife started playing with me as well, and sometimes we wonder if we spend too much time online.

Watched both parts and enjoyed it alot, Great videos!

Great job Anthony, keep at it!
Goosebumps.... Great job!
I honestly started to choke up a bit. This is truly amazing.
As someone who played WoW from it's launch (at a young age) till the end of Lich King, i can relate, this was great!
Thank you, really appreciate the comments!
This was beautiful, my friend!
So well put together. I found myself in a position like yours.
It's great to be immersed in such a different realm. New things always to explore, and all sorts of people to meet. But always in moderation.
Congratulations on your success. Keep it up.

10/10 Emotional and beautifully crafted.
Magnifique ! Awesome ! I'm from France and thanks for this !
I have never played WOW nor I ever will, but this video was truly brilliant!
Amazing video, really. Bloody well done. Glad to see you that you have found the balance between the reality, and being in a game.
I'm crying right now c':, YOU ARE JUST AMAZING!
PS: And what's crazy is that my main has been a belf prot pally just like yours, so the verisimilitude to my story was even deeper.
Thank you for sharing your experience with all of us, and making a great job while at it.
mate, that was so good. I thought IRL was great but you just smashed it. Well done mate.
Terrific video. Very well done. Nice to see you share your experience of pulling yourself out of a gameplay style that was treating WoW like a job rather than a game. I hope this film resonates with others in the same position.
This video is really motivational and touching.. thanks for your efforts.
Thank you :) I understood what you said, and very much appreciate your comments! Really lovely to see the positive comments from the French community!
Great video! Really enjoyed it. I'm happy that you are now in a point of your life where you are most happy.
so glad i got to see this , wonderful video.
Hi Anthony, I gotta say that this and "IRL - In Real Life" are some awesome crafted films. Good luck with the filming (:
Thank you for this moments. For your view, for the goosebumps..
I am a wow-player too, and I understand and feel everything you say.
I was sitting here, nodding my head saying "oh yes... so true".
I've been off for 2 years now. I still have urges to play but I know what I loved most in the game is long gone now.
Awesome movie, love it! You are amazing Anthony! Keep it on!!!
This game just isn't worth being addicted to anymore. R.I.P. Vanilla and Burning Crusade :(
you over praise vanilla you just don't know how bad it was like waiting for the next day to get your honor, only a certain amount of dots on raidbosses or else they would be replaced with something worse, not being able to queue to bgs and doungons where ever you wanted or the shorter story everything was draged out like hell
I do know how bad some stuff was. That doesn't change the fact that I would much rather play Vanilla or BC to this current crap. I never had to worry about being addicted to WoW because from WOTLK and onward the game died slowly, and we can thank Activision for that.
then play on a private server, GL not that piece of gold that you think it is
You mean those servers that have hundreds of bugs and glitches? No thanks, i'd rather Blizzard come out with a copy of WoW that's an older version. That would be a different icon on your desktop apart from the live version. These servers would be dedicated to vanilla or BC. They would benefit with all the money they'd make off them with subscriptions.
Vanilla wasn't good, it was filled with imbalance, even more then there is now. Bugs, grinding wich is worse then MoP's, and it was VERY time consuming. and you think that is better? i cant win with you, cya around
I'm the same as Anthony, I like video games too, but I like to play them in moderation. I was at a point in my life where I was addicted and too distracted by video games, I would neglect other interests and goals I was determined to reach.
I used to play WOW, but I quit after three years when I realized how much I missed out on the other things I enjoyed doing in life. Maybe I'll get back on WOW someday, but maybe not so soon.
I'm from france too, and I just wanted to congratulate you for your work ! A very good video! It changes form the others, thank you very much ;)
This video was amazing, it opened my eyes. Thanks
Thanks for all the comments so far, it's great to hear the feedback from you guys!
Thanks for french subtitles. And Great film !
Just awesome.. So many feelings, memories..
Gaming has a good side too and this video proves it.
Duuuuude. The first one was good but this... BRILLIANT. Found it quite emotional actually.
Just saw this on Reddit and watched your first video also.. honestly lost for words. Wonderful video. I feel like world of warcraft did the exact same to me and quitting had to be one of the best decisons I made.. Thats Awesome Job mate!...Thanks for this film...
This is amazing! I myself also play wow and am studying at college in media production and journalism. Your story is a motivation for me although I haven't become too absorbed in wow since coming back after cata
Goosebumps
Hi! I'm a Film maker too, played wow from classic to bc and stopped playing/raiding to learn my passion...so i made some similar experiences... your film really catched me...! Nice work!
Very nice shortfilm and it shows that its always the player who plays too much and i can relate.
Goosebumps mate
Thank you for the great comment, glad you enjoyed it!
9:39 that is literally the most difficult thing in the game. gosh.......................

Good work. Looking forward to your movies in the future.
Thanks for the love from France :)

I heard him laughing after the third time he said a new expansion was announced
Excellent work
Congratulations from Brazil! That was awesome!

Thank you, and you're very welcome, glad you enjoyed it!
It´s realy a Life lesson ! Good work guy!
Has Tyrien had a name change or been deleted? There are some Tyriens but they have lower item levels than what you used to have.
Amazing video. Keep it up and you'll make it big in no time
I can totally relate to this, unfortunately I was a little worse off since my addiction actually had health consequences.
