I’ve got a Lift 33 and a Rx8 Ultra. Both on 60 pounds and 31.5” draw. With a 458 grain arrow the Lift shoots 278 and the Ultra shoots 272. I love both of them. The Lift definitely has more hand shock. The Ultra draws much smoother, Lift loads up on the back end really bad. The Lift is much lighter then the Ultra but I actually prefer it to be heavier. I do believe the Ultra is a little more forgiving. The Lift was easier to tune with the top hat system. I do all my own tuning so I despise the spacers that Hoyt uses. Both are amazing bows and I’d recommend either to anybody!
Tried both. Just ordered the RX8U. Both are definitely nice but that draw cycle on the Hoyt was buttery smooth, more quiet, felt more dead in hand, and more stable. Shoot well, shoot often, and shoot what you like.
I just bought the Lift 33 a couple of days ago. I love how smooth it is to shoot. This is the first new bow I have ever bought, and I have been archery hunting for 21 years. I'm so happy with my purchase!
I've shot archery for about 10+ years now and have never owned a prostaff bow before until the end of last year. I fell in love with Mathews when I picked up their 'Image' bow. The difference I see and feel with it is crazy! Can't wait to use it this hunting season.
Ever try dropping a half inch on your draw length? Might allow you to get you tip of the nose on the string and not putting side pressure on it. Also a nose button would make you high and low shots closer and more consistent alignment with the peep.
I still shoot my RX3 80# for hunting and the Axius Ultra 70# for TAC and off season. Love both bows. My friend switched to the Lift but doesn’t like how it tunes as much as the Hoyts. But it’s shoots great when set up right.
I always wanted to try the stabilizer with arrow quiver! Looks nice and seems like the bow is a shooter! I shot my first robinhood with a Prime Inline 5
I still have my Hoyt Rampage XT 2011. Which is a draw specific model. With a 27.5 in. draw 65lb. draw weight and 400 grain arrows it is hitting 276 f.p.s.. But what sold me was their dry fire test and driving then over with F150's and the like. Extreme Outfitters uses a Ram3500
29.5 Lift here, had shoulder replacement surgery 4/4. Bow shop was able to get the poundage down to 38 so I can start shooting again. I’ve shot more in the last week than the previous three years. Archery bighorn tag 8/1. I’ve got lots of work to do. Thanks for the information 👍
I believe the lift is draw specific, the Rx 8 isn't. I'm curious as to how long before you snap screws on this bow. Good luck. I shoot the Z 1 S from Hoyt
Started with bow tech ss34. 28.5 @70 This year could never get it shooting great. Now have Mathews v3x 29. 28.5@70 shoots way better once I know more about tune I want to dial the ss34 in.
I shoot a hoyt ultramag xt2000 I'm 15 and for competition you can only shoot 60lbs still throwing em out there at 170 with about a 430 grain arrow. I now am shooting around 74lbs 29.5 inch draw.
What’s your draw length, I’m no expert but I think your draw length is about 0.5” to 3/4” too long bro, if you adjusted it you’d shoot even better and probably hold steadier as well. That was the case for me at least.
You pull 80 pounds like a boss, on the 29.5 that’s a stout pull. I wonder if the feeling at the end being rough is because you seem over drawn by a pretty good amount. That string is way behind your nose. Not trying to be a jerk, just a thought.
Bruh if you went from a Hoyt to Mathew’s I dunno man! I’ve owned both Hoyt is really smooth and shoots hard penetrated better same draw weight and arrow. Ya like what ya like I’m just a Hoyt guy it’s a Chevy ford dodge thing
Your peep is to low, and your draw lenght looks too long. I had the same problem and move my peep much higher. Mayby you shoot like that from the beggining of your archery adventure. But you will be more consistant if you have this 2 connection point ( string to corner of your mounth and nose connection.
@@JayLane aside from the grip I like it alot. Like everything there are pros and cons. It's super fast. I think the only bow that out runs it was the bowtek rpm360. But it's heavy. And really long. 38 inch axel to axel. It was specifically made for us long draw guys
I don't lock my front arm it stays bent. I think it just looks like that. I've had a couple people say something about the draw length I'll have to look into it.
If you are comfortable that’s all that matters, but I think if you shortened it up some it could help improve your shooting some…. But archery is all personal preference. What works for most may not for you…. Your shoot pretty good from what I see to start with…. Good luck in your archery journey
Love my traverse as well but after test shooting the lift 33, I've got to say the lift is better, smoother, faster and definitely lighter. The light weight is crazy.

I’ll have to try it out
Awesome video keep up the great work just found your channel !!
I’ve got a Mathews triax. Debating on upgrading to a lift or rx8, thanks for the review!
Shooting a Lift 33 and love it, shoots like a dream. Fast and forgiving, a rare combo!

The best bow is the one you're most comfortable with! Still getting used this Liftt
Elite Ember. 6 months in, can’t get enough of letting some arrows fly
I always wanted to try the stabilizer with arrow quiver! Looks nice and seems like the bow is a shooter! I shot my first robinhood with a Prime Inline 5
I have both and speed is not 20 fps difference. Need to recheck the chronograph!

I’m still waiting to see how they handle my bow breaking. It got sent out a few days ago so we’ll see
Hopefully they treat you right man
@@JayLaneI’m glad you didn’t give up on the Hoyt completely. Any update on the Rx8 ?
@JayLane any updates?

You should look into BPC157 for recovery could help you a lot!
@@JayLane didn’t know about that stuff. Just ordered some on amazon.
Thank you
I shoot a Mathew’s lift 33 in the same bottomlands camo. 29.5in draw and 70lbs.
You got good taste Kevin 😏
I believe the lift is draw specific, the Rx 8 isn't. I'm curious as to how long before you snap screws on this bow. Good luck. I shoot the Z 1 S from Hoyt
Hey now😂 don’t pray on my downfall
I came to realize that your downfall exposed their weakness. So keep doing what you do man.
2013 Matthew's Monster 6 and still shooting it is very fast and has never failed me
Have you had to replace the strings?
It's amazing how technology jasnt really changed to much for fps. The mr6 and 7 are just as fast as the lifts
@@JayLane only once
@chrisweinkauf6219 my mr6 maxed out at #72 and I'm shooting 28" draw length with my axis at 454grn, and I'm shooting at 293 fps
@@IZZYR23 that's smoking fast the lift 33 only kicks out 280ish. Ive got an mr8 new old stock that's pushing a 470 gr arrow at 280. @31.5 & 70 pounds

I wanna see the budget bow video because im looking to upgrade my bow
What budget range would you like to see?
@@JayLane 600-1000 maybe for that middle of the pack bow price
I shoot a Parker Blazer. I’ve had it for about six years now and I bought it off someone on Craigslist. Hey it still puts meat in the freezer
draw length looks about an inch long
“Always chase your arrow” 💯
Hoyt include a hat with the purchase of new bows.
Mathews should probably throw t-shirts that fit in with their bows.
I’d still take a hat🤷🏾♂️

Mathews lift 29.5! Love it so far.
