I used this along with Ventusky to forecast the major wind events in N. California in which the utiliy companies cut power. I was able to post days before any warnings of the event and although I did look at the NWS and other models, Windy was what I used 48 hours before and up to the events. The ECMWF was EXTREMELY accurate, much more so than the NAM and GFS. It shows a bit higher levels that actually occurred but not by much. The advanced features really make this a nice all in one overall tool, but Pivotal and COD are definitely more in depth in many areas with a lot more models, but for what it is (free) it's fantastic. I just realized they even have Skew-T diagrams. Great job on the tutorial!
Thanks. I use this app few times daily for 2yrs. I find it to be accurate enough. I use only about 2% of this app. I liked the crash course video you made on this. Going to try some new stuff. Thanks again. I live in South Ontario Canada. And I watch what you goto say.
Hi, Windy.com looks fantastic. Obviously, it will take a little time to discover and use the features but a wonderful tip. Thank you. - Dean from Minnesota
Great tutorial. I believe the goat is after the rabbit because the creator of the website owns a goat and "likes to believe it's faster than a rabbit". I like his humor
Hi, interested to know what is the highest pressure in hPa that a low can be, and alternatively, what is the lowest pressure a high can be in hPa. I am considering this when looking at the Isobar charts and see highs and lows, some lows seem particularly high pressure and some highs seem particularly low pressure.
Awesome presentation - I learned a lot. Say, at 10:07 you got a pop-up window on the very upper right of your screen.....I don't see that on Windy. Is that part of Windy, or not? Thanks!
Hi I live in mineral county wv do you think will have a bad winter this year we haven't had any snow yet and doesn't look like we will anytime soon I hope we do though!!
COMMENT BELOW: What is a tutorial you want me to create?
Where and how to find past weather data. For ex. Annual rainfall for a year, snow depth on a given date, mean temp, ext.
What about tropical tidbits you used to promote?
Redfield, I have a TON of the past weather stuff coming soon on a new website. Be on the lookout over the next couple of months.
Sue, made a TT tutorial a while back you can check out here: m.ruclips.net/video/vtjfVJVeQws/видео.html
