  • In this video Shaykh Dr Yasir Qadhi concludes the life of Uthman ibn 'Affan by relating his assassination by neo-kharijite protestors.
During his last days, Uthman (R) is denied basic amenities such as food and water. He continues to remind his protestors to not shed blood and that his death would bring disunity to the Ummah until the end of times.

    Five Before Five
    The Prophet ﷺ advised to:
“Take benefit of five before five: Your youth before your old age, your health before your sickness, your wealth before your poverty, your free time before you are preoccupied, and your life before your death”
(Narrated by Ibn Abbas and reported by Al Hakim)
1.) Your Youth before your old age.
When were are young we have strength, enthusiasm and drive and putting those advantages in the path of Allah raises the individual levels.
The Prophet ﷺ has told us that a young person who grew up with the worship of Allah, will be among the seven who are granted shade by Allah when there no shade but His.
    (Bukhari)
2.) Your Health before your sickness.
No one can guarantee what tomorrow will bring. Our health is a blessing from Allah that we tend to take for granted.
    The Prophet ﷺ said,
“Whosoever begins the day feeling family security and good health; and possessing provision for his day is as though he possessed the whole world.”
    [At- Tirmidhi].
3.) Your Wealth before your poverty.
We should all have some part of our wealth to invest in the hereafter. Helping the needy, providing for orphans etc. all these secure a spot for us in Jannah.
Allah has promised us that he will repay us more than whatever sum of money we spend for His sake:
Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over? And it is Allah who withholds and grants abundance, and to Him you will be returned.
    (Quran 2:245)
“The feet of the son of Adam shall not move from before his Lord on the Day of Judgement, until he is asked about five things one of which is his wealth and how he earned it and spent it upon…
    (Al-Tirmidhi)
4.) Your Free Time before you are preoccupied.
Wasting time on idle things is not recommended in Islam. We should try to always fill our free time in the remembering Allah and being productive.
    The Prophet (ﷺ) said,
“There are two blessings which many people lose: (They are) Health and free time for doing good.”
    (Bukhari)
    5.) Your Life before Death.
We are all going to die, It is an inevitable truth. And how we spend this life in Dunya(this world) determines our life in the hereafter.
Take advantage of your life before it is too late…
“If you could but see when the criminals are hanging their heads before their Lord, [saying], “Our Lord, we have seen and heard, so return us [to the world]; we will work righteousness. Indeed, we are [now] certain.”
    (Quran 32:12)
May Allah bless us with all five so we can work harder to please Him!
Spread message where ever do you want, like on comments, whatsapp, instagram etc to get the reward of sharing. JazakAllah khairun
Abu Mas’ud reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever guides someone to goodness will have reward like one who did it.”

Can someone explain the Role of Ali RA with Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr? Because he seems to have told Hasan RA to protect Uthmaan RA, but why not Muhammad? I hope someone sees my confusion

    • @aafiya3026
      @aafiya3026 3 года назад

Because Muhammad ibn Abu Bakr was not a sahaba

    • @shahanahmed952
      @shahanahmed952 3 года назад +3

Muhammad indeed was raised in the house of Ali,but he was mature when the killing of Uthman R.A took place. He was living by himself etc. So Ali could not command him to go.

Hasan RA was his own blood. But Muhammed ibn Abu Bakr wasn't. Ali RA must have obviously advised him. But what more can he do?

It was an error on part of ibn Abu Bakr, he was young at the time.
Allah protected him from this grevuois act in the last moment.
Honestly someone so kind and gently like Uthman, whose entering in a gathering would have all sahaba compose themselves, due to the level of haya of Uthman.
It's very unimaginable, and even more sad to think that ppl could even think to dishonor a Huge figure like Uthman.

Im confused because Sheikh Yasir says Uthman (ra's) house was empty on the day of the murder (excl. his wife) and that nobody else died? But I've read and I'm sure they are reliable sources (e.g. Sheikh Ali Muhammad Sallabi's biography on Uthman (ra)) that also present were his servants? And they attacked the murderers killing one or two of them and in turn they got killed also? Allahu A'lam but just would be nice to know. P.S. I know that these incidents of fitna arent really beneficial or detrimental to us and that there will always be grey areas so i just wanted to mention that. Wa salam...

All the sources I've come across compliments Dr Yasir's. (meaning that there was no one present except his wife).
Some sources I've come across stated that Hadhrat Uthmaan got rid of the Sahabas by saying that they must obey him as he is the Muslim leader and they aren't allowed to fight back.

    Assalamualaikum, Dear Shaikh,
I listened most of your lectures on Khulafa-Ar-Rashidun. I wonder, in the incidence of the killing of Uthman, u had never mention the name 'Abdullah ibn Saba' a jews, who conspirated the whole rebbelion. In Indian sub-continent, almost all the Ulama usually mention this guy's conspiracy while discussing this incidence.
I would like to ask you about this guy, Abdullah ibn saba, who is he? & what was his conspiracy exactly?
I love & respect you for the sake of Allah. May Allah increase your knowledge & wisdom.
    Best Regards
    Dr. Sayedul Islam Sayed
