I love the idea of using up small yarn balls and also using the results as a big yarn with which to crochet. Fantastic!

Thanks for a great tutorial. I gifted one of these to my granddaughter and was looking for a tutorial for it. Have a good day and stay safe.💜

I have the one with a handle and you just keep turning the handle, and crank on. Much easier than faffing about with the picker.

I would have never thought of using the ichords as a homemade thicker yarn for other purposes. What an amazing idea!!! Thanks for sharing that. Can you suggest or show us other ideas for using this?

The knitted 3 peg size I-cords are now being used a lot to make a continuous threaded loop cord for COVID19 FACE MASKS 😉😎💃🏼

Whip stitch a cord along the inside border of a baby blanket. Then crochet more border beyond that. It will give the blanket more dimension. If you use Fpdc and Bpdc in that additional border, it will enhance the textured look. You could also whip stitch the cord on wearable items to form initials.

You can insert bendy wire through the cord and make letters with it, I use it to write names across the dream-catchers i make for my Grand kids .Thanks eversomuch for this tutorial, i dont know why i didn't do this before like i did as a kid with cotton reels and nails, like you were saying ;-) As ive been crocheting my iciord.x

You could also couch the cord in a design on a crocheted or knitted item by embroidering across the cord in a contrasting color.

Beau travail.

+Sheri Carde indeed you could, although you may want to use two strands of yarn held together to make it even stronger and be sure to keep in mind that it does stretch a bit

You could use clothesline through knitter to cover and strengthen. Just a thought
