Egusi vs. Okra soup?
I prefer okra or oghbolo soup.
I wanna go to this restaurant right now!!!
You should! from Hiro
That Egusi concoction looked nasty. Next time try Egusi soup made by a Nigerian woman... u will eat ur fingers. Also well made Egusi tends to be red from the palm oil.
I agree, it didn’t look right. It looked very dry too.
They completely butchered that egusi. In china they don’t allow africans to own restaurants. The chinese learn how to cook africans and open restaurants instead.

2:14 Potassium? Element Table?
Young lady, that is not potassium.
Your chemistry knowledge is questionable :)
The shop owner said it was potassium - please let us know if you know more about it! We would like to know :)
@@EthnicNeighborhoods that's African made soda stones, the middle East and other part of the world have it in powder form and it's very whitish in colour, but the one you saw in the video is mainly used and made locally by west Africans especially Nigeria and Ghana
Honestly mt dad has it at home too, but Idk why, he uses it to cook nigerian soups. True, it's kindda like potassium when i first taste it.
@@mosunmolaadeojo9061 but it is soda... that's the real soda not potassium, some people use it in cooking beans to make it softer and others also use it in tomato sauce to reduce the sourness of the tomatoes, it has so many uses
@@EthnicNeighborhoods
The owner is right, don't mind the comment. It's called 'Akaun' locally, in English it's called 'potash'.
that egusi soup is not it.. it look so bad, that nobody should it eat.
