If you look around the internet, you will find many people making great music. The more diverse and widespread the music, the less known it is it seems. But maybe there is a kind of beauty and desirability in that. 'Virtual decentralized glocal culture/art/music'.
Maybe she should use the universal language, English, and she will get the recognition that you are saying. I'm from Chile and I know we are so nationalist that the fact of leaving our mother tongue is not that easy.

Your reasoning of seeing art as just a product that should be only expansive is ugly cuz it lacks meaning.

Si tuviera que elegir una obra maestra de Javiera Mena considero que esta lo es. Musicalmente rica en sonidos orgánicos, suaves y armónicos al odiosij jamás ser aburrido, y escucharlo con audífonos Hi Fi hace que se aprecie mejor, una caricia al nervio auditivo.
Su presentan con de este tema en Kexp, monumental.

bueno, yo estoy estudiando canto y ya se bastante sobre la técnica. soy fan de la Javi desde hace ya harto tiempo, y si, acá esta desafinada. pero en comparación a otros shows, se nota que tomó clases y que incorporó la técnica. quizá aún no esta tan bien utilizada, y quizá aún no la incorpora totalmente, pero la técnica ya la tiene
Además de lo más importante de esta presentación es que es una programadora increíble, compositora, productora y creativa. La voz es su débil pero va mejorando, grande la Mena!

I can't say this sound right... I am latin an I find this disgusting. Simple lyrics and not the correct voice techniques... And it's not just me, I have shared it with my friends and they agree with that. It's easy to notice :/
The lyrics are not as shallow as you may think they are. They aren't necessarily about romantic love, lots of her songs from the third album have to do with external and spiritual forces. You should look into listening to her studio albums to get a sense of her overall project. She is very talented. Composes, writes, producecs most, if not all, of her own material. She has also done all of this independently! As to her voice, she herself says that it is something she needs to work on. Hope you listen to her more in-depth, she has great stuff!

Sabia que si hablaba en español apareceria este tipo de rage comments. No toco... Ni he dicho algo que signifique ser patético? sabes que significa eso? Si comento es para opinar y creo es de las primeras veces que comento algo negativo no voy de video en video haciendo de menos el trabajo de otros, lo respeto y a su trayectoria también. Me agrada la musica, por algo lo sigo repitiendo para analizarla... Pero los altos siento que no cuadran con el estilo, tal vez un estilo mas soft? Diste en el clavo con que me gustan los covers, le dan distintos rumbos a la canción y vistazos de como sonaria si fuese "de X modo".
Man, I hate reggeaton too, even more than you lol. Not everyone thinks that music played in TV like Ritmoson/HTV here it's for everyone's enjoyment. But I'm not talking about that kind of music... Well, music/art has different styles, maybe people that don't have spanish conversations quite often or were born in a spanish-speaking country find her voice/pronunciation kind of weird/different but it's not the same for the ones who speak other languages...?imo, cuz you find it attractive. But I respect that, sorry if my comment sounded too aggressive
Honey, I respect your opinion but I need you to know this 2 points: 1. Her lyrics are not simples at all. A lot of her work is based on feelings and in complex human's emotions and situations (just listen camara lenta) maybe you are confuse with the sintaxis of the regular spanish or you are not well informed about all her work. 2. That tone not so perfect or almost like a "talking voice" is a kind of a style, and if you don't like it, it's ok, this is art and nobody has to love it.
So please, don't call it disgusting just because you are no use to it. Have some respect for others people music and taste.
