Great video thanks and it’s helped me decide NOT to buy the Neo. The slowness of follow mode would absolutely kill me! I want Red Bull style FPV drones following me at lightening speed 😂 Think I’ll get the Mini 4K and just fly manually filming my partner on the trails instead 👍🏽
It's a great view that you have. I think in time it will get a little better and track the path you took as well as track you so it keeps the line so that would help with bushes and stuff. In the mean time I find you have to form a good awareness of how it takes corners and does the tracking, that way you are more aware where it will position itself, almost like being in sync with each other I let my son try it and he's a muppet lol so that didn't work so well he was a little too frenetic. Cracking vid BTW, good use case example
@@allshownogolf we tried it with the scooter and the skateboard and it was really good, only managed to use it twice as it was busy public wise and then it rained of course but was good
Nice job! I mountain bike a lot so I'm really curious how the Neo would do. 13mph is actually fairly fast for MTB so it looked like it did a really good job keeping up. It's supposed to follow your track around corners so it shouldn't get caught up in any trees unless there are some slappers.
I've done follow me mode several times now, it takes some practice but you can get some amazing views. Medium flat is best for in the bushes, high and far good for going faster.
@@allshownogolf yes but you have to keep pace with Neo by sound, listening to lead is like a new artform. You can only learn with practice, I learned a sharp turn can sometimes give Neo exploring ideas lol
@@allshownogolf it’s a whole image, capturing your entire self with bike and trail without cutting your self when you have it level and close. However, to get some exciting close low or close shots through bushes or trees use it we caution, but limited to speed. I like to set it up high and enjoy my ride without looking back for the drone, saves me time and I enjoy the trails better.
@@SouthwestSasquatch yes I wanted someone to test this scenario....can you please tell me whether it can track you when it is in high far mode or if connected to remote then in active track with higher altitude?? Like when you are there in frame and also landscape and scenery around you also in frame.
How about 'Direction Track' ? I haven't truly figured that out yet. I managed to get it tracking at right angles to me whilst walking forward. I just don't know how I did that; it needs experimentation.
Yea that's a cool mode, but with this trail and its plantations, it wasn't an option as it will definitely hit the trees if it was tracking me from the side likely I mentioned in the beginning
@@allshownogolf I was just wondering how you set up 'direction tracking' to track from the side ? I can't find any decent tutorial when using 'palm' mode.
@@allshownogolf On a recent video of mine I managed to do it in 'a 'palm' launch but don't know how!! It's at 14:17. I did put a link here but RUclips deleted the message to you.
You’ve helped me a lot in deciding NOT to buy it. Until they improve the tracking speed, it’s unsuitable for MTB. It’s great for beginners and for hiking, etc.
@@komadventure3633 You don't, but with the app it will provide more settings for adjusting to your terrain. I forgot what the baseline settings are if you're just using the drone itself
Best review video for the neo so far. Buying one thanks to you!

thanks for doing this, giver me a lot of insight on how the scenario works and the limitations

Agreed, definitely better for crosscountry, less winding/obstacle trails.

you can make it higher by using command or apps toggle
@@signfull1 Yes definitely, that was my next step if the 2nd run failed.
Practically this is not worh as you can make the same epic shot with insta360 invisible stick filming you behind with much higher speed.
@@QuanTranVisuals I have a X2, you'd have to extend the stick quite long to get the same shot. To each and their own though 👍🏻
