- For this Halloween, I decided to work on my first Rick and Morty remix. I say first because I may end up doing some more from this series since I enjoy quite well. You'll notice that this version takes a rather sharp turn at the end and, seeing how the character of Evil Morty is very good at plot twist, I thought it would be an interesting take on the song.

Could be, but I personally dont think so. I think there is something like "The true Rick" and "the true Morty". I mean you can clearly see that our Rick is far more superior than the other ricks. And our current morty is far more intelligent than the other mortys. I thats because he is the clone of the one true morty (evil morty) who was offical killed by rick and because rick knew the other mortys cant replace HIS morty...He just...cloned him. I mean thats why the citadel had problems to figure out from wich dimension evil Rick were coming from. Cuz he werent from another dimension. There are just two mortys from the same dimension. And well yea the robot-theory. We already saw that Ricks Robots have their own personality and just want to ...live. I mean, what is my purose? You bring butter. God damn. Or the robot morty who screamed "I wanna be alive! I AM ALIVE!" I mean you clearly saw the cables comming out of evil mortys eye?
But yea he could be just another morty from a diffrent dimension.
U forget, Rick can erase memorys ^^ And we dont exactly know since when Rick shows up to the smith family. From my point of view Beth only said he was never around when SHE was a kid, And u have to accept the fact that Rick cares more for morty than for the other family members. I mean....this family isnt even his original family. I am not entirly sure when Rick exactly showed up to his family. But he definetly saw Morty as a baby and was probably there when he growed up.
Why not? It doesnt change the fact that he (from my theory) had to kill morty. Thats pretty traumatic. I mean if my gf died and I cloned her, but than watch those old memorys with her, I would probably cry too. The Pain isnt gone just because u replace someone.
And I dont think he had to erase everyones mind. I dont think Rick showed up late to the family either so...he just had to erase clone-mortys mind, so clone morty doesnt know the reason why rick killed him. Nice facts: There are yellow memory boxes in Mortys Mindblower, were we still dont know whats in there. Than replace him in the family and nobody would see the diffrence. But yea the theory would hardly work if rick officaly showed up latly. Wich we never really heard.

Furkan Efe Türeç every Morty before him is naive and selfless (except to himself). That he’s different might signal his Rick did something horrific to him, and now he’s determined for payback, and to show Morty he can easily Triumph over Rick if he ever choose to do so.

Seriously...this art and the music remind me that Evil Morty is a 14 year old kid whose life was ROYALLY messed up by whosever Rick he was. Having the circuitry in his body really makes you wonder how much the kid went through to be as psychotic as he's hinted at being. This is really sad, but really awesome at the same time!
Well, this has been said before, but I will make a parallel.
Rick and Morty can both be put on a system of axis -- ''Empathy'' and ''Intelligence'', with Empathy being X, and Intelligence being Y.
Following Rick's theory that a Morty and his Rick have to be polar opposites, and knowing our Rick somewhat cares about his Morty, we can theorize that C-137 (Rick) would be situated at the far end of intelligence (being the 'rickest rick' could be translated as being the smartest of them all) but also at the far end of the empathic possibilities of a Rick. Put a pin in this.
Now, to those who ask ''Yeah but even then our Rick isn't that empathic'', I answer with Doofus Rick. Among Ricks, he would be situated in the bottom right corner -- his intelligence, for a Rick, is incredibly low ; but he *is* a Rick, and therefore is smarter than pretty much everyone else, that isn't, y'know, a Rick.
For the same reason, I think that (going back to the pin), our Rick is situated at the far end of intelligence, even among Ricks (able to outsmart the council and the whole citadel), but is also at the end of Empathy -- actually caring about his grandkids, which is an insane show of empathy for a Rick.
Now then, let's go forward ; what would Evil Morty be?
0 Empathy, 100 Intelligence. Top left Corner.
Now, we bring this into the 'my theory' space -- or at least a theory that I support, though by bringing my own arguments.
I believe that C-137 Rick is Evil Morty's Rick.
Our Rick starts at 100 Empathy and 100 Intelligence (top right corner), so to speak. His 'polar opposite' would be a 0 Empathy and 0 Intelligence Morty -- basically, the stupidest psychopath. Rick, actually caring about his grandson, wanted to make him better -- but, given how emotionally detached even the most empathic RIck is, wouldn't know how to make a psychopath be emotionally available, so he tried making his Morty's life better by upgrading him however he could. By making him smart -- it's been shown that Rick knows how to do this, if nothing else by shoving seeds up Morty's ass -- and therefore making him 0 Empathy, 100 Intelligence (I also see a reference to the song's name in this ; 'The Damaged Coda', which is close to 'The Damaged Code' -- which makes sense, given that, in this theory, this is what Evil Morty is : a Morty whose 'code' was damaged, making a monster). Seeing what this has done, Rick gets scared and backs off as he sees his Morty descend into darkness, and he occupies a dimension in which Rick died, to start over. The 'real' C-137 Morty (Evil Morty) gets spotted by the Council of Ricks and is assigned a new Rick, who probably makes the mistake of giving an inch of trust to his Morty. He gets shanked, wired and controlled. Fast forward, Evil Morty starts killing Ricks and framing C-137 in an effort to take revenge.
That's the original story of Frankenstein there, jeez. Rick is Dr. Frankenstein and Evil Morty is the monster...goodnes...
The title won't work like that - it is "for the damaged coda" because it's literally a coda (a slightly different ending part) to a song "for the damaged" by "Blonde Redhead" (search it, it's creepy sad, and the lyrics might or might no be relevant)
The Theory - I like how you theorised evil Morty and C-137's connection, but I wouldn't mind adding something extra to the theory - how he was raised by his parents. As was found in the ABCs of Beth, she was a sociopath who would murder boys her age when she was a child, with Rick's help. Quite frankly she was an intelligent nightmare, and one I personally could relate to - I was just as problematic, even if I never killed anyone who I didn't like, but I most likely would of if I had the same access she did to Rick. Lets then factor in Jerry, and while he is quite wimpy and useless, until put up to a challenge that he could not refuse at all, he somehow managed to gain her attention enough to end up getting her pregnant, and marry her.
Where I'm going with this? He is an opposite of Beth, sure, but in a way water cancels out fire when used. Forgive me for my cross-fandom Homestuck trashiness right here, but this would aptly describe a form of Moiraillegience between the two, often one being used to prevent the other from doing something either fatal or stupid, and even vice versa. Obviously, they would no longer be considered moirails due to their relationship being a sexual relationship (where moirails are strictly platonic, so its possible that Beth changed her stance on the relationship from pale to red, which is normal for one party to try and match the other if they have different stances/feelings - same with regular relationships IRL). This is somewhat relevant to how summer and Morty were brought up, with one parent having dominant influence over the child in parenting method (as was brought up in the first episode summer went along with rick on an adventure - Raising Gazorpazorp).
We all know current C-137 Morty was dominantly raised by Jerry, which compared to summer means a shitload in personality differences - mostly with Morty being depicted as 'sensitive' and 'harmless'. Now, imagine the possibility of Jerry not being around when Morty was born. Imagine if it was both Rick and Beth raising Morty together, with no countering role model to ensure he didn't become like them. Maybe Jerry and Beth divorced much earlier, and never got back together in this particular universe. Who knows what could have happened to Evil Morty. Jerry may not be liked, but its possible that he's a necessary ingredient to keep a Morty from taking over everything. Psychopaths are usually developed genetically, but sociopaths are developed environmentally.
Of course, that's just me looking at this from a developmental/social psychological perspective, as well as being someone with a general understanding of the Romantic Quadrants and how they could be applied IRL (at least 3 are the most commonly used IRL anyway, we just don't normally have names for some of them)
sorry for the lengthy theory explanation on my part, training to be a psychologist as we speak, and all of what I said is mainly speculation based on knowledge from both RnM and Homestuck. Its possible that Morty would always become a psychopath like his mother and grandfather, as genetic components tend to take effect later in development when they become adults, as compared to childhood when environment has the most effect, but its still an effect. A Morty exposed to a Jerry or any other caring parental figure will likely be less dangerous than one that was not.

Interesting thought behind that line, too. Rick thinks of himself as a being greater than any creator, any divine entity. But, Rick bleeds - and gods don't bleed. Rick can bleed, so he can be killed, which means he is just a man.
Some ricks don't care about Morty's. But Some Morty's Don't Care About Ricks.

They isolated themselves so they can rule the world, Evil Morty saw that this is not right and succeeded in combining both universes so Rick is no more the all mighty “smartest” person alive.

Evil Morty managed to overcome Rick C-137 and destroyed the Central Finite Curve, laying bare the multiverse at its true potential. He won, in such a way that no one would have ever expected.

Not correct. Cowboy Morty goes with Cowboy Rick, Telephone Morty goes with Telephone Rick, and the Rickest Rick (C-137) most likely would have had the Rickest Morty.
Evil is a construct, so there might be an Evil Rick with an Evil Morty out there somewhere, but they are not the Rickest anything and so are LESS intelligent and dangerous than C-137.
It is not clear why who is known as "Evil Morty" (the one stalking Rick C-137) got separated from him or if Rick knows he's alive or not. However, flashbacks in Ricks' memory suggest that in another timeline he met a Morty who was still a little baby, even though he was missing for most of the first few decades of his daughter's life.
It seems likely that Rick taught everything he could about science, power, confidence, the universe and exerting your will over it to his original Morty, who he loved but may have abandoned. Who we THINK is Morty C-137 is a replacement that Rick stole from the Mortiest universe. He didn't want to repeat his old mistakes but needed a Morty for camouflage, so he found the Mortiest Morty in all of reality and made sure to demean him and undermine his self-confidence so proximity to Rick wouldn't corrupt him too much.
It doesn't "make sense" that "the Rickest Rick would have the Mortiest Morty" because they would be born in the same universe. Rick is keeping secrets from Morty, and saying they belong together because he actually CHOSE the Morty travelling with him.

In conclusion. Evil morty. Is the mortyest morty.. Fuck. I thought that a while ago but u cleared the doubts out of my mind on that.. I still stand by my theory tho. Morty is young rick stuck in a timelapse. And the evil morty saw what he becomes in the end. A self proclaimed drunk fuckoff.. I think the whole show is based off of a temperal time rift that got spliced. Aaaand rick is trying to end it. But evil morty needs it to continue.. Otherwise they wouldnt exist anymore
As always I am thoroughly impressed. By far the best orchestral remake of the original, and my personal favourite version of it in general. Love how you made a second part, when you think it's over BOOM the cinematic hits. I am going to make a short movie for school, and of course need a soundtrack. For the Damaged Coda was going to be one, but I prefer this version of it. Mind if I use yours? It's not for commercial use, but still you'll get a mention in the credits ;)

I think that through the music you can hear the struggle for him to keep his sanity, and then toward the end you can hear his sanity slowly disappearing, and then at the end of the song it's gone all together... Just a theory. This song is amazing ❤️
you can hear the pain,the anger, and at the end of the song you hear his humanity slowly disappering and at the end of the song is gone Evil morty will appear again in the last five episodes of season 4 because in the trailer you can the citatel and who is in charge of the citatel yes that's right evil morty
I can hear it too. He's unspeakably enraged, but he's also fighting with all he has to keep his humanity because he's terrified of becoming like Rick, but the darkness drowns him still, and soon he forgets his humanity altogether... because immense pain tends to do that to a person.
Few fictional characters have captured people's imaginations the way Evil Morty has.
You know what's the most hilarious thing about the finale? How off that 'spoiler' was in the infinite train sequence, where he was at the head of an army of Ricks. He didn't want to lead RIck's, he wanted nothing to do with them.
This reminds me -- newest season hasn't even _touched_ the "Evil Morty" arc yet.

It has always been believed that one scene is foreshadowing. And honestly, as a final end this would be great. Kinda want the gold portal to appear from now on though.

How can a character that's only had one sincere line of dialogue become such a fucking icon? Evil Morty is the ultimate Arch Villain...his mythos or lack-thereof compliments Rick and Morty's story and character so perfectly. Rick, a character who never fucking shuts up and needs to be the center of attention at all times vs this cold, calculating ice-blooded machine of hatred. No jokes, no catch phrases, no quips...Evil Morty just IS, and he doesn't CARE if anyone knows it.
Happy travels to this mad lad, may he never look back and no Ricks darken his path
The division I see is between the ricks and mortys that like the citadel divided... and the rest of us. I see it everywhere I go. I see it in our schools, where they teach mortys we're all the same, because they're threatened by what makes us unique. I see it in our streets where they give guns to mortys, so we're too busy fighting each other to fight real injustice. I see it in our factories, where ricks work for a fraction of their boss' salary even though they're identical and have the same IQ. The citadel's problem isn't homeless mortys or outraged ricks. The citadel's problem is the ricks and mortys feeding on the citadel's death. Not to mention he outsmarted a pretty dang near omniscient race of 4-5D beings and kept messing with time. Also he’s as evil as you’re gonna get, he mercilessly butchered ricks and morty’s twice! The embodiment of a cocky and evil rick haunted by his past while keeping up a non caring facade the entire time

The song is about a woman who goes every Sunday to visit the grave of a deceased loved one; he is otherwise “alone” because she is the only one who goes there. She feels she has died inside as well, making them “equally damaged” as she searches out his name among the gravestones.
Although she keeps repeating this weekly ritual of visiting the lonely cemetery, she longs for a sign from beyond the grave. A sign that he's no longer there or that he can’t give a sign at all.
In the final stanza, she changes her mind and asks him to never give her a sign to stop visiting his graveside every Sunday, and instead resolves to going there to keep him company.
In a swift tide of suffering, death and blood this Evil Morty balances the scales with the potential of influence over the rest of the multiverse into a multi-cosmic scale war of reality ending calamity.

Makes me want to write about a hero and a villian standing on the ruins of a castle on a windy hill. Both bloody and beaten knowing no matter who wins both will die. In that moment their minds clear as they look into one another's eyes, the blood trickling out of them like their motivation draining from their bodies into pools of crimson life. They realize no matter good nor evil, moral or immortal it didn't matter for they were monsters in the eyes of their opposite, and thus their fued and their death means nothing.
