Florida Dead shows holds a place in my heart. My girl and I toured the Orlando and Miami shows in 1994 and loved where we were both geographically and spiritually that we stayed and let go of the life and responsibilities we had in Chicago to live our summer days on Treasure Island/St. Pete until it was time to catch up with the Dead in St. Louis and then back home to Chicago. Love this jam! Peace out!
I thought I knew or was aware of all the HOT scarlet/ fires out there. Apparently not. I love this band, their intense soulful music and what they’ve done to me as a human!!! Never heard this version at least I don’t remember if I had , love it!! God bless the Grateful Dead!
This Lakeland show and the next night in Pembrooke Pines will absolutely stun you silly, if you are just discovering these 2 shows. ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cornell, what....????? LOL!
I know it s sounds cliche at this point but how could there be a better Scarlet>Fire than Cornell? The segue between the two songs is the definition of the Grateful Dead X factor.
11/1/79 and this one right here are 2 of the first that come to my mind---2/5/78 will mesmerize you, too........Cornell is an outrageous epic, by all means, but there are some other contenders out there. You just gotta' poke around...........
I was literally born on 5/21/77. I like to believe it was during this Scarlet-Fire
Uploading the Greatest music that never stopped, downloading love, and appreciation for the time it took to post awesome files. 🚫⏳🥳🎁
Possibly one of the top 3 versions. Thanks for posting
I'd have to agree, I get lost when I listen to the song Scarlet Begonias!! Love it!!
Oh my.. nothing like a little bliss coming out of nowhere! This is such a spectacular jam. Keep listening, it gets better and better
It's up there.
Agree with the comments, one of my most favorite scarlet-fire jams ever. Jerry just plays phrase after phrase of amazing stuff.

cornell was the 3rd best show played that week, and maybe the 8th best that month
LOVE IT!!!!
Seems like the band was fighting each other on tempo of the song. Jerry's solo is fantastic tho.

This Begonias is the rowdy version, Cornell more cerebral, Hard to rank as every show different
