I see that in the OCG some Horus Stun player tops were running Inspector Boarder. I've tried it and love it! I choose to run those over Fenrir (although seeing this now, I might consider running both). Inspector Boarder limits monster effects from everywhere - hand, graveyard, field, etc. It's really hard to get around! Especially if you make a Hope Harbinger Dragon with your Inspector Boarder on the field, really hard for the opponent to out it. Just need to do the proper setup and it's GG!
I've been using horus since day one of its release and I've got to say I'm happy someone else uses shell besides myself and tomb just let's you place it back into deck. Good news I went 5-3 2 weeks ago at my 2nd reginals and made top 60 with it. Really praying we get even more consistent new support this year, I really believe it can rival snake eyes.
I’ve been liking x1 copy of metalfoes fusion because of foolish burial goods if I’ve opened a brick or the field spell I need plus there are plenty of discard outlets for it already without putting a fire in grave like shell
To be honest, YGO’s most recent pushed decks tend to do well because they have major Spell support (Kashtira, and now Snake Eyes). I know that they’ll never unban Imperial Order because it’s so hard to put and has almost no cost. But I think it’s time Konami unbanned Heavy Storm.
This format hasn't even been as long as the reign of Tear yet and I've noticed so much crying compared to the insanity and chain linking of that deck when it peaked. What's going on? Don't get me wrong, I've had a stun deck or two as a player so I'm not mad to see shake ups in a format. I just don't understand this extra aggression.
Year’s earliest stage it was already strong, then got stronger but the strongest form of tear only lasted a month or 2 before the ban list removed the extenders of the deck.. and chipped away at them by releasing new stuff. We are at the tail end of the peak of Fire so the complains are rampant and loud. Locals turn out are dropping
@@MSTTV Honestly that's fair, especially with local numbers dropping. It just goes to show that the meta does need change, even if it allows other decks to be with a solid fire strategy. Diverse formats are always enjoyable.
Surprised you didn't run Canopic Protector. Free discard and is literally busted for this type of deck. Surviving a turn due to Queb preventing attacks/targeting, Hapi getting you resources or spinning back snakes becoming a bonus interruption, constant monster supply to either OTK faster or see another turn. Personal bias but I'm not a big fan of the Crystal Beast engine despite its potential, my thinking is I run a lot of bricks already. I side 2 Ken/Gen and main Geonator, since a lot of people remove handtraps (except Ash) and get in as many boardbreakers as possible, you can FTK using the new Number 1 and Numeron Dragon (you give them a 17k Dragon and pop with the 2nd effect to burn for 8500LP). It also answers LS/Imperm and if you have Skill Drain it also answers Evenly, while casually doing your TTT shenanigans (mostly handripping with Talent). Heliopolis is a very cool idea, beats Lancelot which can be easily baited.
I was on the same train for the crystal beast engine until... I actually drew a hand full of them, and then still played a full board. Because the field spell Walls of the imperial tomb can put back the pieces, it never felt that bad, not to mention it auto becomes a +2 when you send it to gy and acts as pitch fodder. Even if you draw the CB, just put it back or ditch it. if you draw teh trap, thats a good thing, it wasn't actually that bad imo.
@@MSTTV I assume it works much better for you due to the 3 field spells. I run 3 Sarc and 1/2 field spells (1 if I go 40 sharp). I only want to search with Imsety to avoid Droll while I keep Trade-in as a last resort. Everyone is on main Droll where I play, that's why. That's also the reason I dropped the resonator package that otherwise is incredible with any horus build.
I've tried this deck, it's really bad and I wouldn't recommend it. Using either trade-in or the field spell makes you lose to droll. Any omni negate against your king sarc will lose you the game on the spot, and ash will also kill imsety most of the time. Plus, it bricks with all the non imsety horus and tribute monsters. There are literally no upsides besides exactly going first, drawing well, and then your opponent also having no interaction. It also loses easily to nib if you are greedy.
I started losing with the running into the same problem… but you learn to sequence why you have to keep a copy sarc in hand early or get mausoleum. Trade in is less risky because it still discards the card
@MSTTV I'm sorry, but if you just don't have access to Imsety, Sarc, or your field spell gets drolled, there is practically no way to win that game. After playing its pretty obvious to see that sarc itself is the best card in the deck (or at least for your main engine) so I would try and bait whatever negates or interaction with other cards before I activate it. It's just beyond painful to play, IMO.
@@LamboJ20 man ppl copy and paste anything to win nowadays aint nothing original thats why i miss the old school days this new shit is toxic so what does everybody...try to out toxic the next player by playin an even more toxic deck ...smdh quick effect ss a floodgate monster for example so atp its just a matter of pick your poison
The "old school days" also had net decking. Even before Synchro summoning people literally had 39/40 of the same cards in certain builds. If it wins, you take the formula and build on it. Can't exactly blame a player for that.
@@Reflecter16 no i dont blame players for just konami for making cards with certain restrictions and effects but some of them were just plain toxic so then konami creates more toxic to counter the toxic and now the shit is outta hamds now
Why would anybody choose to play a $300 stun deck? Its literally the complete opposite of what an "anti-meta" deck is supposed to represent. If you're gonna spend your money on horus at least let it be on something actually interesting.
Anti meta doesn’t just represent broke boys, it’s a deck to counter the meta pretty self explanatory. Sometimes it’s expensive sometimes it’s not but regardless, get your money up
Hard disagree on that. There's no price tag on anti-meta. Anti meta is just something that can win against the meta consistently. It's unfortunate that the Hours cards are not cheap, but don't let that keep you down.
@@ArisePass again, if i'm gonna be paying upwards of $300 i'd rather just play voiceless voice, i get this boring ass deck might be the best Horus variant but I really don't think it's anything worth the price tag, kash and floo are right there if you want anti-meta decks that can actually win.

I haven’t played YuGiOh for nearly 2 years, played my first match tonight inspired by your video and loved it!
Another option im running is the vision resonator package. I can provide a deck list. Ive been playing horus stun for a min now
What's the deck list
Stun chads on the rise atm. Ive seen many stun topping recently more than usual. Horus stun. Dyna jowgen stun, runick stun etc.
Number 23: seems to be another good option and an Omni Negate for going first.
Lancelot answers the evenly issue it’s the matchup that determines if that’s the one to make, but it’s easy to bait
I’ve been liking x1 copy of metalfoes fusion because of foolish burial goods if I’ve opened a brick or the field spell I need plus there are plenty of discard outlets for it already without putting a fire in grave like shell
I like it. its not bad, counts as 2. might try it out myself.
Always cooking 🍳 in the lab 😋
Nothing more FUN then runick Stun 😂
Ive been saying this!!! Thank you for confirming my thought process!!
You can use Ringowurm to synchro summon Chaos Angel and Baronne in the same turn.
Can always play fire recovery to shuffle all fires back into deck while still having a shell in hand

Can you please do some invoked deck profiles like: invoked bystial, invoked dogmatika, branded invoked, invoked shaddoll🙏🔥

Been playing stun for 2 years because tbh i dont really have time or money to learn the meta lol

can you imperm a gimmick puppet lock?
