Got this back in September of 2021. Twisted my knee at work and it didnt hurt that bad immediately after so I finished the day. I tried to get up the stairs to help my mom with groceries when I got home and that is when it started to hurt like nothing I have ever experienced before. They said it was prepatellar bursitis and a left knee sprain. I was out of work for a month and had to wear a brace when I went to school. Thank god I have no lasting issues from it and today in August 2022 I have no complications and the knee is perfectly healthy. They did a prelim x ray at the ready med my mom took me to where I had practically had to hop on my right leg because any pressure I put on my injured left knee sent the most searing pain I have ever experienced rocketing up my leg. I went to physical therapy and the nurse was superb. They had me do a ton of exercises and it gradually improved over the next few weeks. I could walk normally on it after 3-4 weeks and even though it still hurt, the rest of the pain was gone by the start of November.
Literally that exact day when I went to ready med they did the x ray and the doctor said it looked healthy from that, but that I would have to get an MRI because there was so much fluid that it covered all of my knee cartilage and bone and he couldn’t really tell. My MRI came up clean (thank god no meniscus or ACL tear), they said I just sprained it.

I've had this before from moving a dresser down a flight of stairs. Prop it up and don't put pressure on it. Take Ibuprofen to take swelling down. It kinda feels like there is liquid in your knee. It will go away

Correct. This is better advice than the video. I needed to wait a long time before the swelling went down. Do not do exercises until the pain has gone. The important thing is not to Aggravate the bursa.

I woke up with the soreness and then it got swollen. It’s weird because I am a tile installer. I didn’t have any injury. But I been working a lot lately. Maybe I hurted my knee when kneeling and didn’t have knee pads because I thought it wasn’t going to take long.

Bursitis is no joke ppl I've been dealing with it for over 12yrs but only about 8-10 months in-between 2½ yrs! But when it comes back boy is it a bear to deal with! Ibuprofen (Advil) is normally my go-to for relief but sometimes it just doesn't want to behave! I heard about a laser surgery that is very effective that I have yet to look into & wonder if anyone has had it or something else to permanently fix this painful agonizing misfortune! Lots of basketball, pulling heavy items up major stairs & warehouse work has wreaked havoc on my left knee! As I'm getting older 52 I really don't want to deal with this anymore!😖💉🥴

      @@jacklavalle9650 Hey man,
well the injury occured in September and I just continued training which was a mistake. I stopped in November but still did other sports so there was no "real" healing process. I got a Cortison injection in January and that was the first significant sign of improvement. I let it heal completely until there was no fluid in my knee and have now started training MMA again. I train with a volleyball knee protection and it's totally fine. I can shoot, eat low kicks, sprawl on my knee as I did before the injury. There is still a little bit of pain afterwards but the doctor said it's nothing unusual.
      Is yours gone as well?

It's a DIY op. Swab the area with alcohol and with a scalpel cut through the bursa and bleed it out by compression. Wash it out with alcohol, dry and use stristrips or if you're good with a needle use three or four stitches Instead
