This is why DC animation films and shows far surpass marvels. While their are a good amount of gems in the shows licensed under marvel for DC their animated films or shows are perfection. They perfectly represent the characters and have moments like these that leave you truly speechless. First time I saw this film I shed a tear even though I knew he'd return.

I wish the Death of Superman actually meant the DEATH of Superman. It honestly is a fitting sacrifice of himself, saving the world one last time on his call. Never was a fan of him coming back or resurrecting. Besides, it would actually put an immense amount of weight to his death. A world that forever lost its Man of Steel but would still try to make due without.
