It is true that all will be thrown down. But please teach us how to be light in darkness for now. We are struggling to stand up.

To me Pastor Brian's message was totally filled with hope and assurance of the kingdom of God, the kingdom of love for all eternity that it renewed my trust in Jesus and the temple that He is the chief cornerstone as we are being fitly built and the holy city whose maker and builder is God.
I have struggled too, losing loved ones in a power grab of empire, but this message today as so many by BZ have refocused me to the government we know and will know more and more in due time. The government is on the shoulders of Love. God is Love. Jesus is God. Jesus is Love. His government, His Kingdom is love.
To me there is no "how-to" but better yet revelation. Good news. ❤🕊

It is so true what you're expressing. We live in a worldview that is so focused on the now that as Christians we quickly forget that we're all sojourners ( passing by ). Earth is not our home heaven is
So, you ask, how do we keep that focus alive every day until then?
In my, over 40 yrs of faith in Christ, I've learned that I need to be in the word every day. His word is HIM.
He teaches us how to live through his word .
1 Thes.5:18 is an excellent example of how God teaches us through his word .
Paul urged the early church, no matter what persecution came their way, to rejoice always, pray at all times and give thanks for everything.
I've learned that having an attitude of gratitude takes the focus off our troubles and focuses on what Jesus did and id doing for us.
      Amen.

@@salvinobarbera3526 Thank you! I was very disappointed that so many Christians voted Trump. I feel that must have something to do with what church are teaching. This makes me sad and confused. I have to remember 1 Thes. 5:18 by heart.

I think of "in Christ" as words & deeds, kindness, honesty, assistance. Not necessarily warming a pew.

But Being in church means being in his body which is physically with others. In order to do acts of kindness etc. you have to be with one another.

Pastor Brian, I miss sitting under your teaching. Do you still create illustrated sermons like "2 mules of dirt?"

Now, "messiah" is political titles of people.
