Many viewers were complaining about the poor CGI but did they even realise that some of the rocks/cliffs themselves were set designs? I was wondering how they managed to film those cliff scenes because they looked real (other than a really obvious green screen in one scene). Seriously people, it's not realistic to expect hollywood level CG in a drama. Props to the production team for their hard work.

this is a bigger scale for drama. it looks like a movie which u hav to bought ticket to watch it at cinema. i felt so honoured the fact that we will get this high quality production for 16 episodes.
Jirisan is like watching a drama at home and magically appeared in the cinema to complete the scenes as a movie. Such a good acting from Jin and co and phenomenal drama settings by the crews!
Jun Ji Hyun is an incomparable actress! Being good at any genre makes her so. And the fact that she nailed every character she's portrayed proves she's a remarkable actress and 1 of the few.
I remember how hard it was for her doing the mermaid role in LOTBS. She swims through the ocean to make a good shot. And now, she is back at it doing her own stunts, climbing those rocks with little protection. Her professionalism is her best asset. No wonder they love working with her and she is still sought after even when she's taking a break for years. She is worth every $$$ they paid her.
I'm not bothered by their CG cause I'm more focused on the cast and their great acting skills. I'm super in love with this drama. I will surely watch it until the end.

I love Jirisan so much! So happy we get behind-the-scenes with subs too. Love seeing the cast having so much fun on set, though the hiking scenes looked really exhausting. I honestly couldn't tell which scenes had green screen and which hadn't. The aerial spots were amazing and each episode made me feel like I was having an adventure in Mount Jiri. Sung Dong-il and his ad-libs though hahaha I'm sure it would have turned this drama into a comedy right away if they included all of it. Don't care what people say about this drama. I think it's brilliant. Love the cast, the plot, the cinematography, everything! So much hard work have been put into this and I've been looking forward to watch Jirisan for so long. And seriously, the wait was worth it. Hope we'll get to see some promotional videos from the cast of Jirisan too.
Joo ji hyun and Jun ji hoon will always has a special place in my heart. Goong and my sassy's girl it's was the Korean drama that I watched during my college day. I remember everytime me and my friends finished the drama, we will always reply it again from the very first episode. Thank you for your comeback. Thumbs up for you two

Gotta admit that KDramas in these 3 years have been getting more mainstream to international general audience. The quality also at the top. That's why Netflix and even iQiyi are eager to invest.

The characters here gives me The Legend of the Blue Sea vibes. I think Lee Min Ho is supposed to be the leading man but he rejected it. It's just my opinion though.
They did film at the mountains, I think they just used a set for the scenes that are too dangerous to film. Especially the action scenes. It's just unrealistic to risk their lives to film those scenes at the cliffs/rocks.

I love this drama, but the green screen result is too good, it's different than the real scenery (the colors etc) I can directly know that it's shot at green screen.
There are two problems I have with this drama 1. Storyline is weird and too much you don’t know what is the focus of the drama. It’s not smooth either like the storyline just doesn’t flow. 2. Not realistic like they spent so much time making the set but like the actors look too perfect. I mean there was a scene where the lead actor was hiking and he apparently was supposed to be exhausted but he had no a single drop of sweat his hair was dry and perfect but he was panting like he was half dead. Just makes the whole scene look fake

Eh. It was just a start. I remember these Korean viewers saying the same thing about Hometown Cha Cha and Hospital Playlist and both became a success in and out of Korea. 😂 Besides, another international streaming site just bought the right to stream Jirisan and it's only on its 3rd episodes. 😂
