It's really hard though. These videos show the best bits, but life with a bird is difficult. You can't go away for extended periods, they need your constant attention, they bond with one human and they pick the human. They're unpredictable and it will break your heart when they pass.
reposting just in case: please do not feed people food to sweet little twinkie .. he could get fatty liver disease or even have it become septic - it is a slow, painful passing for a bird. please, please, please have him munch on veggies or fruits instead, as those won't make him sick .. twinkie is such a precious angel and it would destroy so many to know that the source of his decline in health were foods only meant for humans. i am begging for you to read and heavily consider this, twinkie's mum - please. 😢
