comments below from one criticizing are really Funny, Its a free video if you can learn even 10% out of it Say thanks. The lecturer is a Professor which means she has done her studies in much better way than you all who are just trying to get into Data Science or Machine Learning. And if you people know everything post your videos may be it can help us

Unfortunately very confusing and badly explained, I rather understood it from Patrick Winston MIT's lecture.

WOW!!!! This is by far the best channel I've found on learning Machine Learning! These lessons are absolutely amazing! Thank you so much!

I see some people here criticizing her teaching pointing out that her teaching is too rote teaching or they couldnot grasp anything. This is absolutely amazing lectures actually. If you lack required maths than stay away. And it's not like she have time to teach linear algebra, calculus, vector analysis everyting in single lecture. First go learn these topics and come. Someone said some online institute could teach better than her. Lol, you will mostly learn intuitions there with little to nothing about related maths.

Before you actually jump into the world of ML or AI, you NEED TO understand Linear Algebra and Calculus. Go to KhanAcademy, it is free. Spend 1 month purely digging into these courses. My suggestions: Start with Calculus I& II and then you can learn III and Linear Algebra at the same time.

Poorly prepared lectures. On positive side , PhD student explain it nicely at the end of each module.

The representation of vectors are not at all simple as they should be. -_-

How can be the normal distance between a point and a line expressed as y*(wx+b). Like this, so many things have been left unclear in the video. I have watched her previous videos too. She does not explain maths intuitively. Just vomits out the mathematical equations without explaining the meaning behind them. I wonder if this is the state of affairs of teachers at IIT, god help those who are learning ML in normal colleges. If you watch the Logistic Regression video also, she did not explain the need and process to derive the log equation.

Ya bro, I get your point that mathematical descriptions are not really detailed. But it is simply because its just a UG level course, that does mean the professor lacks math background. I hope u don't mean the same for Andrew Ng after watching his course.
