These are really important conversations and as a Demar fan, it brings me so much joy to see him spearheading this effort. Men in particular are often left like the only emotion they are allowed to have is anger; acknowledging anything else makes them "weak." So to see two grown up men talk about their life and their journey is really special I particularly liked what they said about how their parents never explained things to them but that they didn't continue that tradition with their own kids. Demar talked about how when he pushes them hard to do something, he will explain afterwards what he was trying to do. I think that without the explanations afterwards, tough love can often leave kids confused and feeling like their parents don't like them
Deebo isn't just my favorite Bulls player he's also the kind of dude I'd love to be friends with. So insightful and full of real world wisdom. He's young but has an old soul. You can see how he mentors all the younger guys on the team. Onuralp Bitim in a post game interview said when Deebo told him he was proud of him during the game it meant the world to him. He was borderline choked up when he said it which shows how sincere he was being. DeMar is the on court dad for the young Bulls and he inspires them to be the best they can be. Love the series so far!

And while they are Euro, we know what they really are. The Gasols were bigs. He’s not wrong. Yes they’ve opened up the game offensively, yes they’re also liabilities defensively. Luka’s amazing. Defensive liability. Sabonis? Defensive liability. Before Denver created the perfect lineup around him, so was Jokic. Dirk. Pressing Gil for telling the truth is hilarious. If you actually watch basketball, you’d see what he was saying. Also, Gilbert played a lot of defense for the Warriors before he became the #1 option and one of the best scorers of his generation.
