I have been watching storms of Lake Superior and I see, her little sister Lake Michigan can put up a hell of a fight too.
@Jesse Bower No not really. I have been looking up Lake Superior because sometimes I am a little homesick for Minnesota. I wouldn't want to be on any of those lakes in a storm.
There are more shipwrecks in lake michigan than superior, but I am sure that is due to the amount of traffic. They can both be scary but man, lake superior has so much power when it's mad. "Little sister"...that's actually really cute!
I don't know where this was filmed, but I've seen far higher waves along the Chicago Lake Front. When the wind is blowing down the length of the Lake it looks pretty amazing to see huge waves!

The prediction made 10 yrs or so ago seems to be coming true. Erosion is taking place so quickly. Porter county and beyond is predicted the lake will extend all the way past Bloomington. Eventually we will where I live in northwest Indiana become part of lake Michigan. Look it up. Maps were made to demonstrate of what Indiana will eventually look like. I spent many evenings at the boardwalk this past summer. 2019. Took beautiful pictures. Video of it all. But noticed how strong the lake was without any front coming in. Ogden Dunes lakefront homes were losing their back yards. Was worrisome to see. I grown up here and it was never like this. It's a shock to see my pictures and several months later its like this. Extremely fast and keeps moving forward.
