but yeah, most people don't have weapons that are part gun
sure? lot of the cast have gun on their weapon
The more technical characters yes, but there are exceptions. For example Jaune only has a sword and shield and Weiss' sword just serves as a way of powering her sword with Dust or mixing it with her semblance. So it's technically not a gun either.
It would be more accurate to say that almost every weapon has a long range attack option.

Like I mentioned, it's more like characters have long range options (Jaune aside). Characters who can use dust to use aura-based long range attaks tend to not use guns. Weiss is the biggest example but so is Goodwitch who basically just uses her semblance to attack from a distance. And Cinder just uses her Maiden powers.
Man, this was the weirdest episode of Seinfeld.

Ah, this is such a good show. It's like if Teen Titans Go somehow wasn't disrespectful crap. And honestly, RWBY is so story-driven that it really under-utilizes its characters, settings, and concepts, and this show implements them all super-well. (I especially appreciate the presence Velvet has in Season 2!) And the voice actors are clearly better suited for comedy than drama, because their performances in this show really shine (except for Pyrrha, her acting in Chibi is a bit weird). RWBY Chibi is just the best way to start my day with a smile. :D
