Very compelling, intricate piece with some trance-inducing rhythms! (happy new year by the way, GG!)

And a Happy New Year to you as well although I tend to celebrate the Lunar more often than the Gregorian ;) Hope the touring has treated you well.

A lot of years since I started the Lunar project. I still do a song a year dedicated to the Lunar Cycle. I appreciate you checking it out :)

This is really wonderful music. I made it through 15 minutes at the first sitting and will need to return, I've just got too much stress related ADD these days to sit more than 10 minutes.......

No worries, this project is not intended for a single sitting. In its entirety there is over 15 hours of music.

from 40:00 to 50:00 some very confused and confusing sounds, in a very creative way, like a feeling of being lost......

At this time in my life I felt very lost. I had uprooted to a new city with a friend that turned on me when I lived there. Was tough to keep the project going but it definitely crept into the music over time.

So many good tracks thru here Gen, burgnordash midi acadamy reinterp just crazy and glisten 4 had such a nice happy upbeat feel to it!
Also remember thinking i gotta get on using more water sounds when motif in kaoss came on!
Plus it sounded like tired morning and some other ones had some kaossilator stuff in there but wasn't sure. Feel like i remember talking about kaossilator before tho
Seems like I could say something great about every track and had a good comment going but went to a text and it was deleted
It's been great tho, got real lost in it and ended up listening to the whole mix plus the visuals are absolutely insane to go with it!
Couldn't have asked for a better more psychedelic way to start off the work day 👌🤯👏🔥

So the Korg that you are hearing is the Electribe 2. It has a built in pad that functions much like the Kaoss Pad. I did use the KP 3 a few times earlier on in the project and maybe the Quad Pro a few times but I didn't care much for that hardware and didn't get a whole lot of use out of it.
Burgnordash is a friend of mine. It was some of his first attempts at making music and the lack of theory or knowing what he was doing made for some for unique sounds.
I am glad you liked it. Cheers!

Upon further inspection this was before I had the Electribe. The Korg sounds would have been the KP3. For some of the tracks I was doing work in post with the program Traktor Pro 2.

@@gengraded your friends way of making music sounds a lot like mine, earlier on I kept telling myself I would learn music theory and everything but then i just never did haha
Sometimes I ended up putting stickers on my keyboard for scales and stuff but notice myself over relying on those so took them off too
Also very cool, appreciate the info on instruments used. Always kind of fun going back and figuring that out. It's one thing I always mean to do on my descriptions in one day maybe I actually consistently will haha

@@Professor-kaoss Early on I had to take Piano lessons and then in high school I did Orchestra so there was quite a bit of theory I learned before I took the art in my own direction. In a lot of ways I envy you both being able to go in with no direction and starting with just the passion. But we all find our own way to our dreams I suppose.

@gengraded that's funny I'm always a bit envious of people with musical theory and I always wonder if it would be beneficial or would learning what I'm actually doing mess with my style more than anything.
I guess it's like the saying grass is always greener on the other side

I'm so glad. Doing this project 10 years ago where I would make a song a day I didn't really have time for mixing and mastering so to return to it all these years later and give it the love it deserved has been fulfilling. There are still some tracks I wasn't exactly pleased with but at least they got more attention to become a little bit better. As for the ones I did like they really sounded so much better with the experience gained along the way after the project.
