I'm so glad I found your channel. I recently went through a breakup and am struggling with having so much alone time. I don't know how to fill my free time because I don't feel like I'm being productive. Your videos (and my therapist) are helping me see that being alone can be productive. I relate to so much you've said in this video. I also struggle with social/situational anxiety and the fear of the unknown. It was refreshing to hear your fears, yet watch you do it anyways. Definitely where i aspire to be soon!
I've been watching your vlogs all week and I think this one is my favorite yet! I just relate to this video so much. I live in a different state from my family and friends bc of school, but I've learned to (slowly) do things on my own. after pushing it off for weeks, I finally went out and went grocery shopping (which I usually get delivered to my place LOL). now I think my new favorite thing is romanticizing my plans alone and running errands!!
Love this! So like seven months ago, I bought myself a membership to a workout studio in an area with a bunch of shops and cafes so that it would force me out of the house at least every Saturday morning. I've never been great at not being "lazy" on weekends and had this epiphany about how much of my life I was "wasting" when I wasn't working. Sometimes a friend and I will book the same class and get to spend that time together but most of the time, it's been me exploring the neighborhood and going to cafes alone after class and I think this has done wonders for my mental health. That saying about "strangers never paying as much attention to you as you think they do" is true!!
Great job doing the hard things! I love eating out alone. One of my favorite dinners ever was a fine dining experience for one for NYE. I’d recommend sitting at a bar next time you have to say “table for one” it feels a little less awkward as you get the hang of it at the bar when there isn’t empty chairs in front of you. I used to think people felt bad for me when I ate out alone, too. But now it’s more of an empowering experience. You are bold and brave! You got this! ❤🎉
Devon, you are my current favorite comfort content creator! I genuinely get so excited whenever you post something new on Insta or YT. Thank you for being awesome!!
I love love love love your channel. And just cause you’re single doesn’t mean you’re alone. I actually prefer the company of my animals over people any day.
I have been following you on Instagram for a while and somehow missed your RUclips channel. I am so glad I finally found it. You inspire me so much to get out of my comfort zone and do things on my own. Thank you 💓
Hi Devon Thank you for this moment with you and Willow I loooove her she is sooo cutee 🥰🥰🥰🥰 i love your vlogs they’re so soothing 🥰🥰🥰 being alone is sooooo good you can do what you want to do and not expecting something from anyone. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I love being alone but I also love doing things like taking small trips alone and by getting out and hanging with friends every 2 blue moons, it helps me appreciate my home more lol.I may try the table for one thing to challenge myself. Loved this video btw
This is awesome, the only times I usually eat in a restaurant as a “table for one” is when I’m at the airport waiting for a flight. Otherwise I usually go the carry out option when I do eat out
You make me feel so good about being an intovert! Lol. Im in my 30s and have realized i dont like to spcialize thay much. I like staying to myself. But i have learned to enjoy time alone and its noce seeing you do the same. 😊
There really is no need to be afraid of what others will think about you eating alone. I guarantee 100% NOBODY cares. What helped me getting over it completely was when I realized how narcissistic it is to think that people care so much about why I am eating alone. This type of thinking is literally “ME, ME, ME, ME” and when I looked at it from an outsider perspective it made me feel disgusted. Focusing on actual important things in life, helping others, volunteering, there are so many things we can do to get over this kind of worries. Also going through a health crisis put everything into perspective. When you are in the hospital you realize there is no point in worrying about these little things and what others might think of you, the most important thing is health and peace in your soul.
Pro tip for eating out alone. Find a restaurant with a self ordering system, where you just sit at a table and scan a barcode and order. Makes it slightly less awkward. I usually seek out restaurants like that when eating alone.
Hi Devon, As an Introvert myself I really Like your channel! And now for some awkward question... I saw that you have a TCL flat screen TV... Can you recommend it? I'm really struggling with what to buy... LG and Samsung brands are so much more expensive but I'm not sure they worth it. Thanks
I recently found your videos and they really resonate with me as a fellow introvert. I'm newly single in my later 30s and learning how to be comfortable being alone. Question: Sometimes I find myself completely distracted by my phone even though I intended to do other activities. Does that happen to you or am I just addicted to my phone?
Get you and willo a baby pool so you can spend more time outdoors when it gets too hot. If you don't have shade get a portable gazebo to put the pool under!! 😎
Oh boy me watching this video gave me anxiety I have done this before taking myself out to est and if I don't have something to distract me it's rough lol
@@devonandwillo I see, wouldn't it be more beneficial to instead of doing things alone to rather, spend that time meeting people so you don't have to do said activities alone
@@Suzeraincecil It's important to be comfortable doing things alone and I think that's what Devon is practicing here. Making new friends can also exhausting and easier said than done in most cases. Maybe she doesn't feel the need for additional friends too. It's fine if that's what you'd do in her situation but there's no need to insinuate that's what she should be doing or what would be more "beneficial"
Always find myself coming back to your channel. I find it calming and peaceful. Thanks for the authenticity.
Aw that makes me so happy thank you 🥹❤️❤️❤️

As someone whos been alone for most of my entire life, I cant wait to get my first corgi for my 30th bday! I'm going to spoil him/her endlessly.
Aw that is so exciting!! You’re going to love it 🙏❤️
Did anyone else notice that beautiful stunning pink vanity!? Pets for Willow
Loved the content! What cheese did you use for your salad? 😊
Provolone and feta!

I also am a loner - I never had any friends and am actually alone 90% of the time, the rest of the time is time with family only.
irony when I play this type of video after I get home from work to wind down tho

How old are you?
I'd love to see with someone though. U seem like a lovely person
I appreciate you but I don't want to be with someone right now and I don't think that makes me any less of a lovely person or any less fulfilled :)

Why would anyone live in a place where its too hot to go outside for half the year?
lots of reasons... don't ever have to deal with snow, was born here, family is here, it's affordable...

Leave, now.
LOL I'm somewhere where it's always cold, kinda want the opposite of what I have. Love willo, I have a corgi too she's super young
