I feel that with asking questions. I work retail and I just got a job with coach and he asked me and I said, what made you stay with the company for as long as you have. And he lit up bc who doesn’t love talking about themselves and what they love
Get the book "The new what can you do with a law degree." It was a great resource after I took the bar to provide some guidance on what area I wanted to focus on, gave me ideas of what I want in a law firm, which helped with interviewing. Your state attorney assistance program might also have some resources and career counseling (mine does and it was really helpful). They're also just a great resource for navigating the bar exam, looking for jobs, accepting jobs, etc. It helped fill a lot of gaps that my schools career services had.
I’m not in the law field but I found your interview tips really helpful. I have a really big interview coming up in a few weeks so I definitely wouldn’t mind a video on interviews or some more tips!
Your tips for interviews were super helpful! I'm not in law school but I am looking into internships at the moment before attending law school, and I feel like those tips would be really helpful for my interviews as well. I would so appreciate if you made a video fully about interviews, what to expect, and your advice!
I always ask about (1) how my work will be evaluated/what feedback I can expect and (2) how my work is assigned and if I will be “locked” into a practice area or get to try out different things.
I think it would be really helpful if u gave kind of a run down of what you learn in your classes and what you're doing when you're doing hw.. just because im sure im not the only person watching who is planning on law school and is very scared hahaha love ur videos xoxo
Could you please please please do a video all about interview tips and tricks!! I have a graduate school interview coming up and while it's not for law school I feel like most interviews will be somewhat similar and I'm really nervous because I've never done an interview this big before
At my Advocacy Fellow interview, I asked them about the culture and a word they would describe the organization as. I've gotten to the point where I want to work for a company/organization that cares about their employees and there's a solid culture where I'm valued.
Have you thought about getting a mentor? I think it's beneficial. For me, I have two fields (Gerontology & Health Policy), and I have one for each field. Definitely great for connections and networking.
Hi So i just wanted to ask for some advice What do you answer to the question "why do you want to be a lawyer?" And how did you decide or what made you decide that you were going to do law.
I'm so confused, how do you give interview tips when you haven't even gotten a job. And you not having a job yet as a 3L shows how bad your grades are in school and your lack of interview skills...
"I look like the rock in this outfit"😂😂 literally loling. Love your videos!

What do you answer to the question "why do you want to be a lawyer?" And how did you decide or what made you decide that you were going to do law.
Did you even tell us how your interview went or did I miss it?!
