This reminds me of a documentary I saw on Miami Dade '86. This is good training. You don't want to be doing this the first time, in a gunfight. Even if it's not an explicit scenario, having this experience will make the difference.

4:58 If you're a weirdo like me who doesn't use an AR (I have a Sig 556) you can manipulate the charging handle with your right hand and use your knee to lock the bolt release open on the side.
