Liberal: 1.willing to respect or accept behavior or opinions different from one's own; open to new ideas. 2.relating to or denoting a political and social philosophy that promotes individual rights, civil liberties, democracy, and free enterprise. In the last nine years I have watched our self described liberal party move further and further away from that definition. They have made clear they do not respect or accept any behavior or opinions different from their own (by belittling , insulting and name calling anyone who disagrees with them) and they are definitely not open to new ideas. They have stopped promoting individual rights , our civil liberties and our free enterprise.(As proven with our dropping production rates.) The only thing they have left to go after is our democracy. It's been quite literally terrifying and heartbreaking watching the decline (rampant homelessness, starvation, massively rising violent crime being exasperated by our current admins catch and release legislation, lack of medical care/massive wait times (days just to be seen /months to years for tests and surgeries) massive immigration when we simply don't have the housing, taxed so high people are choosing between rent or food or in the winter heat or rent or food etc… (All on a platform of no more taxes.) All this and more under the watchful eye of our current admin and while they have been in power for nine long years and have been watching this decline the entire time it was only when the conservatives started riding high in the polls that you saw them making a concerted effort to do anything about it. Too little too late. This life long liberal is now begrudgingly voting conservative until such time as the liberal party finds it's way back to it's true definition.

Depends on what part of the country your from and what type of employment your involved west of Ontario no one wanted his dad either and the country got a little worse then mulrony did a little more damage we have incrementally headed this way for year's but now it's starting to affect the big areas not just the west maybe something good will happen with a change of leadership but I doubt it all of our politicians treat us like livestock they don't act like they work for us
Exactly! The idea of charging a carbon tax was a Conservative strategy to begin with, to allow market forces to slowly, gradually wean us off fossil fuels, and prevent outright bans on gasoline powered vehicles. Now that wildfires, droughts, heat domes, floods, and hurricanes are loudly announcing that we're too late to prevent climate change, Conservatives still can't bring themselves to do anything to slow it down, or even just quietly support those who are trying. Everything is a power play meant to score political points with those voters who are so easy to provoke into anger, but who won't lift a finger to help themselves or anyone else if it goes against their selfish world view.
Could be because inflation is 1.6%, interest rates are plunging, gas is 10% cheaper, government is reducing immigration to free up housing, Denticare is rolling out along with Pharmacare, and PeePee is obviously unfit to be Prime Minister

Pierre, why don’t you share your plan for improving our immigration system? What specific targets do you have in mind? If you propose a lower target for immigration than what Trudeau suggested, I’d consider voting for you!
I am old and I have a question. Why do we, here in Canada, always, always, always produce such dismal excuses for leaders? We are always forced to choose the "best" of a bad lot. JT is one of Canada's finest PMs - we had half the Covid death rate % of the US, he's making child care and dental care a federal priority, he's building hundreds of thousands of new homes (after Housing Minister Poilievre built none), he legalized weed, he protected 30% of our oceans and coasts, he banned single use plastics, he's planting 2 billion trees, and he's on track to reduce our carbon emissions by 75% by 2030, and he did it all with a minority gov't. What did Harper & Poilievre accomplish in their 11 years of power including time as a majority govt? I remember being pretty sick and tired of them both!

THIS POS built SIX HOUSES!!! During little PP's reign as Housing Minister, housing prices rose 60%!!! Under Trudeau only 57%! But where are Cons crying about that? POS is right!
1. The COVID pandemic created enormous pent up demand due to constrictions in consumer sentiment and spending. Economic after-effects included reverberations like spending leading to inflation as consumers get caught up on the purchase of durable goods. Supporting anti-vaccine anarchists as Pierre Poilievre did only made the pandemic and its economic effects worse. 2. An ardent nationalist like Pierre Poilievre complaining about immigration is ironic given that his ultra-nationalist buddy Putin is the cause of needing to find new homes for over 4 million Ukrainians. As a Canadian I am proud that we were able to increase immigration by 150,000/yr to do our fair share in welcoming Ukrainian refugees. Yes, global shocks do impact all national economies, but Poilievre and his nationalist buddies globally are in no position to complain when it is their policies that tend to aggravate, rather than alleviate those shocks.

I have been watching a lot of China-watchers & analysis channels lately. It has been shocking to see how much J.T.'s admiration for 'Basic Dictatorship' translates to CCP laws and ways being enacted here in Canada.
What a load of crap
Depends on what part of the country your from and what type of employment your involved west of Ontario no one wanted his dad either and the country got a little worse then mulrony did a little more damage we have incrementally headed this way for year's but now it's starting to affect the big areas not just the west maybe something good will happen with a change of leadership but I doubt it all of our politicians treat us like livestock they don't act like they work for us
Exactly definitely not the same party.
PP flip-flopped on the Conservative policy known as the carbon tax
Why aren't we Canadians down on the Hill screaming for an election?
Because PP can't win a non-confidence vote lol
