Muhammad Ali Jinnah, though celebrated as Pakistan's founder, left a legacy of ideological contradictions that shaped the nation's enduring struggles. While his advocacy for the Two-Nation Theory emphasized religion as a unifying factor, it clashed with his secular statements, creating an identity crisis between being an Islamic republic or a secular state. His reliance on figures like Sir Muhammad Zafarullah Khan, an Ahmadi Muslim instrumental in Pakistan's creation, reflected early secular inclusivity, yet the later focus on religious identity fueled extremism, marginalization of minorities, and deepened internal divisions. The rushed partition caused immense suffering, strained relations with India, and left Pakistan economically disadvantaged, while the unresolved Kashmir conflict diverted resources from development. Jinnah’s premature death left Pakistan without a clear governance framework, fostering political instability, weak institutions, and repeated military takeovers. Unlike India’s secular approach that enabled progress, Pakistan’s religious foundation fueled sectarianism and extremism. Overreliance on foreign powers eroded sovereignty, while Jinnah’s shift from secular nationalism to communal politics polarized the nation, creating a legacy of instability that persists today. My perspective on Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s ideology and its impact is clear, whether one agrees with me or not, but I am a patriotic and true pro-Pakistani. My goal is to address the right issues for the better future of Pakistan, and this does not mean that I support Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s ideas or actions. I firmly believe that Pakistan’s progress and prosperity depend on understanding these foundational issues and learning from them. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
On what aspect of Qaid e azam day was this programme about?? Absolutely rubbish. They call in the same clowns over and over who obviously have nothing else better to do than pass their time chit chatting with nida on her grubby pink set! And before they start talking about how 'the poor are living lavish lifestyles on foodstamps' they need to get their facts right. Like a bunch of uneducated schoolkids! Should have got some school children in instead as they would have had more general knowledge than these clowns!
