    I’m building this now. I also got the big Ed photo etch markup kit for it, and it makes the weapons bays a lot more detailed. I also go out of order, since I loathe building the weapons and gear I do them first to force me to give more effort. Great job replicating the Have Glass paint scheme. I hope mine turns out as well as yours did

    An interesting technique of painting the model, the process itself looks easy, and the comments do not contain unnecessary information. Great job.

    Looks INCREDIBLE!!!
    I wish I could airbrush as well as you. I've got a fairly good one, mid level. It's clean, I've tried all different pressures down to 13psi and I just can't get the paint to come out nicely. It either starts to.. have circles if it's too thick, or if I change amount if thinners or pressure it ends up sort of rough when dry 😔

      Thank you!
      Don’t worry at first airbrushing looks complex, but with practice it will be more and more fun. Can I ask what paints do you use?

    • @realMaverickBuckley
      @realMaverickBuckley Год назад +2

      @Scalecat Sure 😊 I use mig ammo acryllic mostly, thinned with vallejo airbrush thinner

    • @Scalecat171
      @Scalecat171  Год назад +1

      I see, well ammo are water based acrylics, so they a bit tricky to work with. First of all set up your compressor for 20-25 psi, they need a bit more pressure do spraying properly. They a bit different from Vallejo, so better to use there own Ammo acrylic thinner. Some also like to use isopropyl alcohol, but I’m not a fan. Thin it around 30%. Also mix paint in separate jar/plate and than poor into your airbrush. Spray it in very very thin layer and dry each one, you can dry it by blowing it with air from airbrush. Build it up slowly and you will get very nice matt layer of paint. Also very important to clean model before painting with alcohol or soapy water. And to use good primer. I use mister surfacer but one shot from ammo also great fro acrylic;) and remember it’s only hard for like 15 years, that’s it easy pizy (just joking )

      Also can recommend to buy isopropyl alcohol and airbrush cleaner to clean it properly after each use :)

    Данный набор лучше/хуже академии или хасегавы, как считаете?

    • @Scalecat171
      @Scalecat171  Год назад +1

      Честно не собирал от Академи, но литник выглядят очень похоже. У Хасегава вышел отличный набор хоть и не без стандартных для Хасегава минусов в виде следов от толкателя в неудобных местах

      Hi, sorry for late response. Yeah well here I used AK Real Colors Agressor Grey and F-15 Dark Grey, basic colors of Mod Eagle scheme. I also add a bit of metallic Alclad color just to add metallic shine to them. Not too much, around 10%. As metallic base you can use any durable metallic color, Xtream Metal fro AK for example.
