  • A tribute to Mehdi Hassan
    IPAC (Institute for Preservation of Art and Culture) / ipac.pakistan and Kuch Khaas pay homage to Mehdi Hassan the King of Ghazal by the renowned ghazal singer Ghulam Abbas.
    We are very fortunate to have Ghulam Abbas performing for us who is one of the leading ghazal singers of Pakistan and a senior disciple of Mehdi Hassan.
    Ghulam Abbas has performed extensively on radio, television and as a playback singer in Lollywood alongside legends like Madam Noor Jahan. In appreciation of his outstanding contributions in the field of ghazal singing he has received 192 awards including the prestigious Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Medal of Excellence) by the President of Pakistan.

    Excellent but what king can do no one can ever do that and the king is Sir Mehdi Hassan Khann Saheb - thanks a lot for sharing.

    The tabla player is Ustad Mohammad Ajmal from Punjab gharana he is a pupil of Mian Shaukat Hussain. He is based in Islamabad, Pakistan.

      Ustad Ajmal Khan Sahab shagird of Ustad Miyan Shaukat Hussain Sab unfortunately he died last year
