I usually go through my subscription feed, throw all videos I intend on watching into the Watch Later map and then go through them in order, but with DDC2 I don't have the patience to watch it later, I need to watch it immediately!
Fastest car is always the one that stops the best. It really improves your confidence behind the wheel when you can scrub speed off quickly. How much are the dixcel pads??
Great video, this is the content i'm here for! One thing, if i as a native German speaker may give you a pronounciation hint about "Nordschleife", say the E at the end. German doesn't have silent vowels at the end of words. So it's the same as the proper pronounciation of "Porsche", the E is not omitted at the end, you always say it :)
Great vid mate was there for one of your days..... slide a barrier on my last day. One mint Clio now bent..... oh well first trip ever, one to remember. Need to learn how to control a slide 🙈🐌
Nice vid Danny. Missed you by a couple of days. Seeing Mike's Civic I'm kind of worried. The harnesses can cause an injury to the spine in case of an accident. This way you will compress the vertebral column if this go south. The angle is way too steep. They should be between 0 - 10 degrees below the shoulder. Cheers
Hey man, that's a shame! I thought I saw you on the Sunday actually, but I must have been mistaken. The harnesses aren't ideal we know. How have you been getting on at the 'ring lately? TF seemed really good the week I was there. Not many idiots, reasonable weather... midweek TF is the best!
Owww if you're talking about Sunday 08.04 than I've overlooked your car. BTW that Silver BMW RingTool you fancied belongs to a friend of mine. Great car and dito driver. The Ring was fine for 4 track-days with the proven PAGID RS29's until as an experiment I put a set of dixcel Ra's under the Z4Minator. After 6 laps the Rotor cracked.... New rotors/RS29 ordered and installed. Anyone fancy a barely used set of Dixcels????? Cheers
Hey Danny. Good seeing you and Mike hanging out again. Got any vlogs comin', Downchange? ;o) I've always loved the EG hatches and hopefully you did a review of his. I have a question about the little roads in the area there like at 5:47 . They look nice, but very narrow... are they One-Way roads? Looks like it, but I can see a sign going the opposite direction from the way you were going, so I'm unsure. How about that friendly chap at 12:01 ? LOL! Reckon' he's from 'North Germany'? Or maybe he's been passed by a few K-swapped Hondas round the 'ring? ;oP Glad you got those brakes bedded in and biting good. Nothing inspires confidence like stopping power and you've found the right combo with your brakes and tyre choice. Well done, mate! See you again soon, we hope.
Hey man, no they are two way roads! They are not all that narrow, just the ones between villages. You can take the main road instead if you want, but as you can see the smaller roads are a lot of fun and well paved!
I know it’s a bit late now but regards the electric fan on the M3, make sure it’s wired up to suck rather than pushing the air forward and into the radiator
I was hearing some Spanish dudes in the background arguing, I can understand it all hahaha. The m3 must be a blast with that setup at the Ring, hope you had fun!
They were just talking about how to use the persuader to get the hub nut off, while cussing at it in many ways obviously..., then at the end when they are getting the m3 coolant replaced one of them is asking if they want him to empty the coolant in the toilet, and the other one is telling him not to because although no one drinks that water, the ducks in the area might die. That is litterally what he said hahahah I found it hilarious
Nurburgring is very hard on cars. Issues that you wouldn't notice on the road soon crop up. This is why it's a good idea to do a trackday before coming out, but there wasn't time for me!
May be so. But the air is flowing opposite to what most people think in motion. Air doesn't escape out of the bonnet. It gets pushed in and exits under the car. It's bad for aerodynamics and can stall airflow to the rad. You will never see a professional race team do it. Bonnet vents placed in a low pressure area of the bonnet is the proper solution.
Again Spark plug Steve you’re speaking as if this is done to a street car, if it’s done properly it’s very easy to have the air exit out of the back of the hood, when I do rally you can see the dust come through even without a panel under the car, so I will have to disagree! You also probably don’t do long distance races where engine heat is a huge factor
sandro barbakadze yes it's called the Channel Tunnel you drive your car onto a train and it takes you through.. Cost was £170 the ship/ferry is slightly cheaper but takes longer.
this was after 1 lap of the Nordschleife. Well not even that. I wasn't even half way round. Hence the drastic measures of cutting the shields off as well. The thing you need here is confidence in brakes!
Maybe I will try them in the future then, never heard a bad word about them. With the trackday on Tuesday I had to make sure I got some new pads otherwise the day would have been pointless, so took what I could get!
DannyDC2 They last for ages also as they are an endurance pad, so they aren’t actually that expensive when you consider other pads wear twice as quickly.
haha its funny how u all get ur cars up and doing stuff on it infront of the house. u r often there? with how much people would you recommand to rent such a house? have fun
I upgraded to Green pads from Oem then to red and then to Blue 👨🏭and my missus said what is the F... matter with you 😡?? You’re addicted to brake pads aren’t you !! I said I’m not love honestly I can stop anytime.
I love how you have gone from not modifying the M3 to ripping bits off with your hands haha .
3 weeks ago I made my decision. Fuck it. Wait until you see the track battle against an E92 M3 & Integra DC5... 😝
DannyDC2 it was a good decision!! Cant wait to see it !!!
+1 - Good decision. Life's way too short not to enjoy your car as was intended.
"I'm gonna change my pads". In 17:08 comes back with an angle grinder lmao
Nice vid as always Danny!
Happy to see Adrimp36 and his friends in your videos. Nice Danny!!! Greets from Spain
I usually go through my subscription feed, throw all videos I intend on watching into the Watch Later map and then go through them in order, but with DDC2 I don't have the patience to watch it later, I need to watch it immediately!
Making brakes strong again - good work Dan ^^
Mate this is a awesome video just for its simplicity. Showing exactly what happens on a trip... brakes brakes cooling and bearings.... standard... 👍🏽
Really good info on the brakes Danny, as it happens, both my front back plates are rattling around too. I’ll message you with a cooling solution 👍
Every video that features the m3 finishes with me going to the local auction website and dreaming of my own one. Great video as always mate
Thanks man! Hope you get one some day, awesome cars.
Enjoyed that - thanks Dan. Was going to get some new pads from CL today but will check out the Dixcel first.
Looks like a lot of fun bud loved the northern reference made me laught 👍
Didnt know Taylor Ray likes hondas
lmao my exact thought
^this 😂
hahah Mike gets that a lot! There's another one @ 14:06 too
Deivi Y 😂😂

Shit happens man! Hope you get it sorted and don't be put off going back :)
DannyDC2 I’ll defo go back, just a bad mistake to learn from. Need slide control lol may go again October
Carbone Lorraine RC6 is the way forward Danny! Running same setup as you on my m3. 👌🏻
Possibly on of the loudest pads, I love them.
Is there any videos on the EJ2?
Wonder what a weekend like this cost? This would be at the top of my bucket list!
BMW add before the video! Very good! Great video as always!
Would performance brake pads make much difference on a stock E46 325ci m sport? Stock brakes and everything

Wow really? What calipers do you have on there? That's worrying!

Whats the name of that eg’s wing? Looks Nice 😃

12:02 cue slow motion.. "hello darkness my old friend" 🤣🤣🤣
riperoooni
@DannyDC2 do you know about any footage of kswaped s2k's ?
Yes, next video :)
No wonder I couldnt get my new brake pads in, you need to grind off the top of the piston! Cheers dan! #manspec
Good video man.. And downchange I'm another have been waiting on your uploads again a long time haha... That accord want another looking at it
Cut your nails lol 💅🏼
Also your M3 looks awesome. Love it.
That individual E36 at 12:20 though... takes a lot for a 36 to stand out at the ring lol
What is the name of the house you’ve rented please ?
Yay finally! Thanks Dan!
great video keep up with the good content!!
Nice one Dan!
I need to make a trip one day for sure
14:00 oh wow nice he's got a hot air intake!!
sounds insane though!
yeah they often do! even on a peugeot 206
Haha I had exactly the same problem with my backing plates (both lose from broken top bolt) I had to just cable tie them to strut 😂
Haha I thought about fixing them, but with the issues with brake fade on the first lap, drastic times call for drastic measures!
Is there a rule of only running water in the radiator on the ring Dan?
elliot eadie No you are free to run standard coolant.
But it's way smarter to run water + water wetter, you can cause some serious shit, if you drop the coolant.
Like the M3 video's keep them coming
cool vid as always !
Makes my Sunday
Great video man! 👍🏻
Great vid. But I just want to bend that peak properly lol
''Weve just gone to mexico for a second'' lol
I was hearing some Spanish dudes in the background arguing, I can understand it all hahaha.
The m3 must be a blast with that setup at the Ring, hope you had fun!
hahah I'm glad someone does... what do they say?

I would love to have a go on the nurburgring on my s2000. Shame I have no group of friends in the UK to come with me.
Domingos Pereira go yourself
John Holmes not the same though mate. Going in a group is always more exciting and will always have some support if something goes wrong
3rd week of July, join the convoy
With the whole group to Germany to repair the cars?
Nurburgring is very hard on cars. Issues that you wouldn't notice on the road soon crop up. This is why it's a good idea to do a trackday before coming out, but there wasn't time for me!
Civic on R32 GTR wheels, fuck yes
You like your's car's DannyDC2 cheers mate
Repping dixcel for years!
Why’ve ya got an angle grinder for brake pads? “Changing them properly, man spec”
no messing
@@dannyDC2still like the dixcel RA? I’m looking pads for my m3 also
anyone who raises the back of their bonnets cant be classed as serious. lol
Check engine bay temps, say what you want but it’s functional
May be so. But the air is flowing opposite to what most people think in motion. Air doesn't escape out of the bonnet. It gets pushed in and exits under the car. simple way to test it is tape some strings to the scuttle and rear bonnet edge and watch what direction they flow. let me know how it goes.
actually its given me a video idea. i will run the test myself and do it in the interest of fairness to see the genuine outcome.
Just downloaded this for my zoot break , roll on 20 mins
how do you go from uk to germany so easily with your car?
The European Union is great... wait what
DannyDC2 by ship? Or cars with wings :?
france? i thought it was germany :(
thanks, btw tunnel is real?
:D
if not, how much costs ship from uk to france?
sandro barbakadze yes it's called the Channel Tunnel you drive your car onto a train and it takes you through.. Cost was £170 the ship/ferry is slightly cheaper but takes longer.
was this trouble with the brake pads before or after the laps of the GP circuit?
this was after 1 lap of the Nordschleife. Well not even that. I wasn't even half way round. Hence the drastic measures of cutting the shields off as well. The thing you need here is confidence in brakes!
💪👍
Man... I need to get me an angle grinder
Sorry, but the RS29 has lots of bite, even in my lardy 1500kg E92.
Maybe I will try them in the future then, never heard a bad word about them. With the trackday on Tuesday I had to make sure I got some new pads otherwise the day would have been pointless, so took what I could get!

Those disk splash guards always fail.
Thought josh had a yellow s2000? Nice civic copue anyhow
he does the coupes his dads car I think
8380 air freshener 👌
15:30 never seen someone finger bashing an E46 on RUclips before.....first for everything I guess!
hahah, gotta clean both sides!
E92 discs look about 100 years old
haha its funny how u all get ur cars up and doing stuff on it infront of the house. u r often there? with how much people would you recommand to rent such a house? have fun
It's the best time! You can rent with 4 persons in linder park.
Ahhh Honda ☺️☺️
And they say the ring is not demanding on brakes, yea? hhaha
Well, it wasn't in my Integra. In a 1500kg car, it seems to be!
5:11 moyce pat
I upgraded to Green pads from Oem then to red and then to Blue 👨🏭and my missus said what is the F... matter with you 😡?? You’re addicted to brake pads aren’t you !! I said I’m not love honestly I can stop anytime.
It's called PorschE 😁
I hope you didn't flip the seals in the master cylinder!
Have you ever actually heard of that happening? On a modern car? I thought it was just an old wise tale...
Seen it happen a few times, so always best to just undo the brake fluid cap to be safe.
First
🍪
360p gang
Yeah u better check the pads on that piece of crap after they locked up and almost killed u
eh?
DannyDC2 sorry man I thought I watched a video of u crash because you're breaks locked on...my mistake
