I've got the Torp on my stock 2022 Ron with supermoto tires. Its definitely added more speed, range & efficiency. My field weakening is set to 45amps & my top speed (so far) is 58mph. I have my field weakening set to kick in late, in order to keep the temperature down & to save battery. Appreciate your content & be safe.
@@ungratefulninja4535 right on! What sprocket are you running? I couldn’t even get to 55. I have the stock sprocket. I also didn’t know I could tell it when to kick in. I’ll have to take a look
@AdamEspositoYT I'm running a 42t sprocket. On the 5th app screen, set your sprocket ratio & measure your back wheel diameter. Advanced settings at the bottom let you change FW activation start.
Oh, one sec... So I guess what you mean is that the Controller REDUCES the current to "40Amps" UNDER its normal power draw... ?? ... I'm not criticizing honestly I'm curious tho, is it like a Waveform Modification that reduces the pull on the battery like some kind of Pulse width Modulation or something? ... Like SO I imagine, to Giddyup it pulls full power, but at speed it lowers the current by 40 amps by changing the Wave Form to only Pulse when the Rotor is in the Best Possible Position??? ... Lol... I honestly am curious
@robbdudeson346 all good! Love the convo and curiosity. When using Field weakening, your actually increasing the amperage draw from the battery. Anywhere from 1-50+ amps on my stock battery. The name is a little confusing. This feature INCREASES the amperage draw from the battery. Resulting in higher top speed, more power at high speeds, more motor wear, and reduced range. So there are some trade offs. Hope that is a little clearer
I could be completely wrong. Maybe it's new technology, but as far as I know, according to three-phase electricity and current battery storage, I think you're thinking of it backwards...
No im not. But thank you for your comment! Field weakening offers higher top speeds and increased power, but it can reduce range and increase wear on your motor and battery over time. Use with caution based on your riding needs.

I am hitting 45 mph on a 54t sprocket, 16" rear and 50a field weakening, 60v34ah battery.
Right on. 50 amps is a lot. I sold my Ron for something else!
@AdamEspositoYT what did you end up getting?
@HPAddict you’ll have to wait and see! It’ll be delivered next Wednesday so you can expect some videos coming soon

WHY not use gears to replace chain 😊
Or a Belt Drive... Even Better because then you don't have the Friction of a Chain and Links
