Colin Breck and Percy Link explore the evolution of Tesla's Virtual Power Plant (VPP) architecture. A VPP is a network of distributed energy-resources (often solar, wind, batteries) that are aggregated to provide smarter and more flexible power generation, distribution, and availability. Tesla's VPP consists of vertically integrated hardware and software, including both cloud and edge computing.

It's a great way to have middle-class people pay for their overpriced technologies and then sell the excess power to poor underprivileged people who can't afford their expenses energy sources.

@Francisco Galarza You should go back to elementary school and learn sentence structure. Also, if you wanna be an engineer when you grow up; maybe you should learn to add.

Reading between the lines, what if instead of just powerwall module, what if it was implemented in vehicle to grid with one million vehicles, that would explain the wifi enabled charging cable.

Tesla's progress in energy software is super impressive, and as a Powerwall owner since 2018, I'm proud to be a part of what Tesla is doing in this area! Thank you for helping to share this with the public (and with Tesla shareholders).

That's sound great! I have one query what if you send some energy to grid thinking you don't need it ...but after sending it to grid you face a need to use energy at that time what do you if solar is not available ? I was having this question since long back ..Its really awesome that you have powerwall already install..can you please guide based on your real life experience .Thanks in Advance

    • @Singuy888

Depends. A threat to peaker plants, but an aid to regular plants since money will be saved for them and reduction maintenance as more renewables come online. Large amount of back feeding of power to the grid requires additional infrastructure as renewables from individual houses come online. A power wall that customer pays for reduces the need for more powerful equipment from energy plants to handle increase back feed supply.
