I’ve tried mustard and it does a pretty good job at helping to tenderize my meat i don’t know why but it just does .

@tymjones Put the meat in a bag with spices and sauces of your choice.. depending on cut or protein let it sit in fridge for minimum 24hrs.. no need to stap with a tenderizer or fork
I love this channel but I must say this. Never never never use baking soda unless your intent is to completely destroy a steak. The best way to tenderize a steak is first choose a nice cut then find a marinade you like and let the steak marinade for 3 to 4 hours. Even with a bad cut you can still get a tender steak with a good marinade. Just don't marinade for too long and destroy the steak again like with the soda. Baking soda will make a good science experiment but the result will be uneatable.
