- Lance interviews the original owner about his super rare 1 of 1 Saleen Coupe with the SSP police package he bought new from a dealership in 1989. The Foxbody Mustang Saleen built from 1984-1993 only had a total of 57 coupes made and this one is the only one with the SSP package and an automatic transmission. The foxbody Saleen coupe only has 9k miles on it now and is worth some big money in today's collectible market. A one owner car is always more desirable and this one is exceptional. The fox body Mustang market is increasing in value as more people that grew up with these cars are of age to afford their high school dream car and now the Saleen Mustang especially is gaining big value. This is easily a six figure collector car and many people search specifically for coupes. The Saleen club of America put on a great showing of early Saleen Foxbody Mustangs at Barber Motorsports Park MCA 60th Mustang Anniversary show where this video was filmed.

Awesome clean Saleen, 1 of 1, still with the original owner, and some knuckleheads still have to insult it because of the AOD. People need to do better.
Ok I'm going to say it you mustang fellas are a uniquely special group of cat nerds I am into gm ,Holden's, beamers Benz's and some other stuff , I recently rescued an 87 notch 4cyl auto 67k mile car not to flip but to join the group cus these are cool and your creative ideas are inspiring, cheers

The AOD trans is no slouch once its bullitproofed w pump/input shaft/converter. Buddy in Houston had one in his black '92 GT behind a 347" ~'97-98' and he killed so many cars w it bc everyone thought it was a slow turd - especially the LS kids w bottles lol... Shifted amazing and never broke after endless nights at Rankin rd, Mitsubishi, 1960 and Deer Park.
Thought there were 59 Saleen coupes. Anyway car is awesome
