“Each Chim has different interpretations and meanings, but overall, they all have a general Fortune to tell. Due to the system of drawing lots from Guan Shi Yin being ancient and having many branches, there is actually no unified standard of Fortune Levels for Guan Shi Yin Chims. In the same set of lot branches, you will see that the top Chim is sometimes written as "上上" (top-top) or "大吉"(great luck), etc. There are multiple reasons for this, one of which is that the interpretation of the Chim poem is different to the person when drawing Chim. Different people drawing the same Chim may have completely different interpretation results, it is not that important to have a unified Fortune Levels.”
“Guān Shì Yīn, also known as Guanyin Bodhisattva or Guanzizai Bodhisattva, is an important bodhisattva in Chinese Buddhism. She symbolizes compassion and aid, and is often prayed to by believers for protection and liberation. Guān Shì Yīn Bodhisattva is described in Buddhist scriptures as being able to hear the cries of suffering beings and quickly coming to their aid, hence the name "Guān Shì Yīn" (Perceives the Sounds of the World).”
