Fun fact. It was actually the poor sound and stage presentations of early Beatle concerts that gave birth to the start up of companies who specialized solely in the setting up of such venues going forward.
I actually liked the "imperfect" sounds of live performances, the mistakes, tempo issues, etc. If I wanted to hear "studio-level" stuff, I could have stayed home and listened to the album.
Fans at Circus Krone were disappointed that The Beatles didn't show up, but they were still treated to a scintillating performance of 1 minute and 33 seconds of perfectly in-time quarter notes by Ringo's crash cymbal!
This is 1966 and they're still stuck in 1964! they look woefully behind the times already---the San Francisco and LA bands had already moved WAY past this look by then---no wonder they had to radically change for Sgt Peppers
I've seen this before in B&W. It has always bugged me that they did THIS song(!) from 2 years earlier but NOT 'And Your Bird Can Sing' & other more up-to-date songs at that time.(!!) Also the fact that you can see Paul's RIC bass & George's SG on the rostrum -- but not used! GRR! Maybe I better not watch its again. 🙂 Haha. 🙂
I know what you mean about hearing Revolver tracks and more up to date songs but I love this Chuck Berry song to kick off the concert. Amazing that they do a few technical doodles and smash, straight into the song,
Dang, the lead mic is way too quiet. There were many instances when fails like this happened. Like when Paul’s mic was completely off when they played I Saw Her Standing There.
@Voxac100b yes everybody knows them , what I meant was it looks really unprofessional when the Beatles take the stage and nothing is tuned and ready to play ....you wouldn't see that today .. you standa ??
Rubbish??? Your "Lackof" knowledge about music is rubbish. Loud raw Power the Beatles are!!! Mr. know it all sound man 548. I am 86ing you from u tube!!
You have bad taste that's it, the fact You like 3 just shows their are the greatest and enjoyed by any kind of people, but hey your bad taste is not a crime
Incredible to see this and realise that the 1969 rooftop concert was only about 2 and a half years later!
When music still existed!
Great clip! 1966, I was 5 years old...
Wow! Does this bring back memories. Thank you so much for this. Saw the Beatles in 1966 at Dodger Stadium.
@@EagleRockers Wow did your hear anything honestly was it that bad?
August '65, Met Stadium, Bloomington MN. Couldn't hear a thing, but it was enough to just be there.

Monitors, thats why Stones countiniu to play live, it Come about 68 69

I am 115 years old, and I started that trend in 1964. My company was called "YOU SUCK LIVE!"
Listen to the Star Club Tapes in Hamburg the energy was there. There was no energy in 1966 to play live. Good thing they only played 30 mins lol
pero que mal se escuchan los beatles en este concierto 😮
The days before soundchecks were a thing.
They are doing it here...
@@jameskeyes9112 pretty sad eh .... amateur

Ringo's ride cymbal could be heard from the moon. 🤓
Fortunately they became a much much better band.
Ringo..the human metronome
He's great!
It’s the Beatles.. the most rehearsed live band in history
Na das bezweifle ich.
Beatles my ❤

Later that same year they started recording Sgt Pepper.
20 George Martins stood behind the stage.
@@AndrewDixonMusic 😂
White kids from Liverpool playing Chuck Berry and Little Richard tunes. What a novel idea!
no floor monitors
Imagine if the Beatles back then had decent equipment
@@donjohn2695 they would have sounded like they did in Hamburg.
Like how Lennon twiddles with his amp and they kick off with sound balance way off. Was that the recording or did it sound like that in the room?
the guys in the back,,, how the hell are we going to follow this....

What are all the Mormons doing standing behind them?

Not enough speakers da wattage too low
Wrong! Plenty of power.
Sound is awful.
The sound is better on the VT
Wrong.. Loud and raw
Awfully Impressive considering the poor technology and they couldn't hear a thing so they didn't bother to do rehearsals either way
And thought John could play guitar, without all sound tweaking they were shit.
Epstein couldn't afford proper roadies ???
Neil and Mal were the roadies
