Hey, Douglas! The endless rain here hasn't left us much time to shoot videos. :( It was grungy when we shot this one, but at least it stopped raining! Can't wait until the spring!!
Nice to see a new video ( on a clear day). We are experiencing a storm down here. I routinely rode in rain back in the day, but alas, no longer. I am sure the balance demands of the "Mini" are daunting. Good job.
Hey, Evan! Yep, we don't ride in the rain either. The storms here don't seem to stop. It's hailing now and is supposed to snow soon. We manage to get our regular bike rides in here and there, but there have been few days nice enough to try and shoot a video. This one looks better than it should as it was pretty overcast that day. :)
Good luck! I took a header on a kids bike when I was a young teen and will never ride that kind again. I always thought of the penny farthing as a two wheeled unicycle. Stay safe 😊
Ouch! I did an endo once on a mountain bike, but landed on my side with (luckily) limited damage. This design pivots so fast over/around that front tire that I think you'd be on your head before you knew what happened! :(
Great video. Wild machines back then. I frequently encounter a guy my age from Cambridge Massachusetts riding an original penny farthing on the Cape Cod Rail Trail. He is always wearing period clothing and he formerly owned a cycle shop in Cambridge. His bike is meticulously restored. I’ll see if I can download a pic of him or email,it directly to,you if you want it.
Hey Mark! I don't think they let you post photos in the comment section (I tried last week and couldn't figure out how). You can email it to us at bikestrikesandrazors at yahoo.com
Great video.. I've been looking for a Penny Farthing/High Wheeler/Bone Shaker for a while..but not the super tall ones. But either a 28" or 32" front wheeled one like yours. Being no one has asked, would you care to share what you paid for this one? My buddy owns the bike shop in my town, the same place my one son worked for years during middle school, high school and even college. He has a mini, or childs version, in his shop as a display piece.
@@bikestrikesrazors I emailed the company. $300 shipped..just not sure it's worth the 300. Especially after hearing what you paid🤣 You got a great deal
@@fishn365 Well, mine is used and a bit rough. Where are you located? If you were close to Sacramento, I would sell you this one for what I paid for it. It's just on display now. :)
I enjoyed the video but felt that you should have stopped for the stop sign. Bicycles are required to follow the rules of the road as are motorized vehicles. By not stopping, you are not only violating the law, you are setting a bad example for viewers of your video.
Sweet. Glad to see another video from you!
Hey, Gary! Yep, it's been a while! :)
WOW! YALL BEN out on a really long ride l assum🌏🚴🤗great to see you back. Those with the big wheel l never could ride, thanks for sharing 💫

Glad to see you back making videos! Keep on Triking!
Hey Tom! ABT Always be triking. :) We've been riding in-between the storms. :)
Apparently, humanity has not stepped forward that far, because the bears in the circus have also mastered this..)
I think the bears do a better job! :)

Never heard of the mini high before
I think a few companies import them from China. They only sell new for around $220.00 :)

I paid $75.00 for this one used, but they sell new for $250.00.

@bikestrikesrazors thanks for the offer. It's about 2,800 miles from the east coast to you, lol!
Awesome :)
Thanks for watching!

Thanks very much for your insight and comment, David!
