In 2002 The Descendents played a special show for Stockage at the starlight in Fort Collins Colorado It was the original line up pre milo. Frank, tony, bill
Do you have the original footage of this? If so, it would be great to upscale it/interprolate with other footage and get a multi-angle arrangement of this fricken rare show. Let me know if I can help.
It's actually my footage. I have the whole set, plus a bunch over other stuff from that weekend, and the Stockage the following year. It was shot with a VHS-C camera, and the audio is mono. Consumer equipment wasn't so great back then... ruclips.net/video/Rv-yr96YUU0/видео.html
cerebrallawlzy93 Here is a link to the full show with time stamp descriptions. Chad, Scott, Stephen and Karl also participate in a 2 hour show. ruclips.net/video/Dlm7OawscSM/видео.html
I read that they were planning to release an album at the time with the original lineup of the band. maybe some of the songs are from that project. sadly the album never materialized and then frank died :(
5yrs later they released a early Descendents era album. It includes every song here. It’s awesome. That album has the spirit to Frank. Re-recorded with Milo. Check it out! 9th & Walnut
I asked frank pre-show "how ya doin?" "I'm nervous as shit", he said.
FRANK NAVETTA
Tony is a monster on bass at the age of around 60..wow
That must have been super fucking nostalgic for those guys. Man.
this was my second favorite part of an amazing weekend...first was Scotty's ALL set
I wonder when Tony stopped playing downstroke on the bass.
It's too bad they couldn't interview Frank Navetta before he died. From what I've read he had a lot of mental health issues and had a shitty life.
Freaking Bill on the Drums.
Sorry just read it again. Its just worded funny thats all.
Pre milo, egerton, and alverez
