RV pine's deltarune take is one of the best I've seen!! And I love the secret boss being a forgotten camera kinda fitting into those video tapes asriel made with chara in the undertale true lab
I'd like to think that camellia is a big amalgamation of those vhs horror tapes mixed with a dash of the classic dremmurr family trauma, so I really wanted to capture that ever since the idea came into my head (especially since I love those little analog horror youtube series)
also, I dunno if I'm the only one, but camellia did remind of flowey in a lot of ways, with her hair design mimicking omega flowey (maybe a stretch, but still, its more apparent in the fan designs of her), and also the whole theme of "memory" with her that was a big part of flowey's character; so that explains the flowey stuff I put in here
ALSO ALSO, camellia's face gave me uboa from yume nikki vibes so I added a reference or two here and there.....
I guess this is also a commemoration for 2000 subscribers???!! It totally snuck up on me LMAO; so THANK YOU THANK YOU

this actually fits the "discarded" theme that all the secret bosses have. Analog horror is a genre of filmmaking that is often "discarded" by most filmmakers for it being too niche, and when they actually try it, it gets mixed reviews and they discard it yet again (case in point Skinamarink, which was a movie directly inspired by analog horror, and I think there was a netflix show based on local 58 that was scrapped after a single season)
Also isnt Camellia an old camera? My theory is that she was probably discarded and left abandoned by Toriel after she and Asgore got divorced,and when Asriel when to college,since they didnt wanna see those memories again.
that would make sense considering the lost vhs tapes in the undertale true lab would be a good parallel to whatever the deltarune version would be

Even if it resulted in having to make separate uploads for smooth looping, that fake out was still super creative! Love the idea of Tenna running the show, until Camellia suddenly hijacks it for the bossfight with a vengeance. The use of analog horror is a really clean way to connect the pain of needing freedom and being discarded with TV, and connects it to Flowey well too!

Yeah the hijacking idea kind of reminds me of the Metropolis but I’m not super well versed in that take so I don’t know if that’s actually used there or not.
I mean after RV pine and their team rewrote cameilla, the hijacking is actually a part of the story, so this fits even better.

Just love the usage of Finale in the freedom part. Really wanna hear more covers or just freedom songs in general use it with that motif.
the fact that chapter 3's dark world takes place in the dreemurr household makes me want to hear the freedom leitmotif mixed with either heartache, asgore, his theme, or once upon a time
i'm so fucking hyped for chapter 3, even if "it isn't too heavy on the plot" as toby said
I love how reminiscent of early 2000s music this is. It honestly sounds like the kind of music you’d hear during a hacker sequence on an old computer while green text fills the screen, at least in the non freedom motif part.
Musical references i noticed here:
1(1:23) - the world revolving
2(1:40) - your best nightmare soul parts/finale/hopes and dreams(iirc)
3(2:05) sounds like a reference part, but i have exactly 0 clues as to what it's to
I think the main bass (at points like 0:29 or 1:51) might be a reference to “What is your favourite retro bass?” by 희민Heemin but I’m not entirely sure
2:05 might be a reference to No More Nuzzles

Edit: might want to add something to the character shown here. She might be able to summon analog horror creatures that the player has to take down. They will shield and attack for her so you *have* to take them down in order to progress in the fight. Maybe she’ll reach into those reels and pull the creatures out to summon them.
Creatures like alternates, the false Shepard, Those monsters from Gemini entertainment. You get the picture.

Oh god, I have a *bad* idea for the boss fight/character
Imagine the summoning thing right. I want there to be an attack like spamtons phone/pipis attack where it backfires. So, the character shown here reaches into the reels to pull out a character and pulls out either someone like mark out of the reels or (we're getting into fan-fiction territory. Brace thyself) a *bad end theater* character out. If you don't know what that is, just look it up and watch some vids on it.
If mark is brought out:

Wow!! incredible remix!! I have to ask though, how did you make the CREATIVE FREEDOM text with all the effects that's onscreen for most of the video? It looks phenomenal and I'm curious on how you accomplished it!
tysm!! for the text itself, i used the VCR Mono font (aka the VHS font), for the effect, i use davinci resolve and applied a “waviness” effect and messed with the parameters until i got the amount of waviness i wanted, hope this helps!!
