I appreciate that Miley speaks about this shit in her music. I know people are going to say shit like “oh it’s encouraging kids to do drugs or whatever” - but the reality is so many people in the world have a relationship with drugs, so many people are addicted or use them for depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc. And I don’t think she’s glamorizing it at all, I feel like she’s just telling a story from her life, and it’s not necessarily meant to be pro or anti drug use , it’s just one of those things where she’s just being straight up about shit that people go though, and specifically she went through. This song means a lot to people who’ve had those experiences, and speaking as somebody who’s a pothead , I really was able to connect with this song . My favorite on the EP.
Censoring art is fascism. Miley doesn't have to be a perfect person or send a positive message if she doesn't want to. That's the beauty of art.

Even though I cannot consider myself a "junkie", there was a time of my life when I was most of the time either high or drunk, it was a dark time for me. This song definitely captures the essence when people consume drugs not for fun but just to fill the lonely and dissociate yourself from reality.
