It used to be JCPenney Auto Center until JCP went out of the auto business in the 1980s. Firestone took over many of the JCP Auto Centers. The canopy at the front was most likely for gas pumps.
As long as you are ok that's what matters at least you didn't or don't look like you have sustained injuries so thank God for that. It's sad you had to bury your best friend your yellow car but the thing is at least you survived Wallie.
Hey Wallie, long time subscriber since the beginning. I live up the road from the mall and Hermitage wants to knock down the mall and the 2 auto centers and put a "town center" there. Good to see you back!
Ahhh thank you for the info! I wondered! Thank you so much for the years of support! I'm currently sitting at Keg's Bar & Grill enjoying a yummy chicken club melt and a cold brew. Stop by if you're around!
@jayjames4679 ahhh! No worries! I'll be back soon to film the closing Joann's store. I was at Kraynak's too long today to be able to go over there. They were closing by the time I left Kraynaks.
Beautiful abandoned exploration, Wallie! They left a computer when they closed this location, hahahahaha!!!!! You did the stupidest thing you ever did in this video: saying names for potholes in the parking lot, which makes us hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another interesting and fun video Wallie, A couple of things, You could put yellow go faster strips on the new car, or one's similar to The mach, or roadrunner.? From one gearhead to another, stay safe and have a great New year..
I hate to hear someone was that idiotic and say such.. stuff. I don't think they know what it's like to have a bad day. You take care out there and stay warm.
From California I just want to wish you and cricket well and wish you both many miles of fun adventures and videos, your a good man and your videos are amazing, excited to see you both in the next one.
Sorry to hear about the demise of your ride. Glad you’re OK. I just obtained my first foreign car from my mom who quit driving. I pass by there daily and happened to look and see there were no cars at the Firestone. I think they closed in early November. And I had just bought 4 new tires there for my Rav 4 I got from mom in September or October. As someone mentioned, the roof on the old Sears Auto Center is peeling off it on the Route 62 side of the building. I think I still have a key to the roof hatch lock for the Sears Auto Center that I accidentally took home with me probably 30 years ago. I’m sure they changed the lock soon after. I do commercial/industrial HVAC and worked at a lot of the places you have covered over the years.
I am SO glad you are ok, I can’t say that enough, what happened to the bee is sad, and I don’t mean to sad rude or mean why would ANYONE say something that rude to you, you did not deserve to be in a accident that bad and who would fake something like Who?! Also the bee friend will live forever In you intros too, hope to see many more videos and hope the new car will make for many more miles:) I really hope you had a good time at Kranacks(if I spelled that right) and hope you have an AWESOME rest of your weekend.
I can relate, when my 94 Mitsubishi eclipse first gen with the hard block got wrecked I didn't know what I was going to do, I had drove it from Dallas TX to Reno NV many a times and back on that day in Feb 2022. It got wrecked out there and left out there. It was 2 years before I got my new vehicle and 6 months after I got it, someone side swiped it but she is still running. Even with the Steve, John, Dick, we got here in Houston.
Now you’ve got a Cricket Friend! 🦗 So they said they were going to demolish the mall “later in the year” right before it closed in May. Well, it’s later in the year now, and the mall still remains! Anyway, nice to “meet” all of those potholes! 😂
this mall and firestone is right down the road from the dollar tree i work at, i have so many good memories of that mall as a child super sad seeing it in this state really
It closed around the end of October or first of November. I read somewhere it was decided by a dispute over the cost to rent and a lack of maintenance on the building. There was a fairly recent storm that damaged roofs on Sears Auto, probably the Firestone, and the breakfast & lunch restaurant east of the mall.
Sorry to hear about your wreck I know it is with being in wrecks I was 2 of them both put me in tbe hospital 🏥 first with a bruised kidney tha was almost 30 years ago second one was in 2016 this time with a broken arm and a steel rod and with 3 surgeries on my arm so you are lucky that you are are all doing well
Go for it. It would be a proper tribute to the Bee and a way of honoring the Bee for protecting you in the accident as well as a way to carry on the Bee's legacy of awesome service to you and to all of us who watch your many videos that we all owe a thank you to the Bee for faithfully providing you with so many miles of service
I’m glad you’re okay and still have the bee on the beginning of your video. It’s a wonder with online shopping malls are still around. They only get dull during Christmas season than during the year looking like a ghost town.
Sorry to hear about the Bee Friend. You should put together a tribute video to it. After all, it faithfully helped out the channel by taking you to the awesome places you have showed us and protected you to the end. I hope the cricket gives as much loyalty and reliability as the Bee did. Glad you areOK.
I buckle up every time. I was buckled in when the accident happened. And let me tell you... when I nailed the wall at that right side corner like Dale Earnhardt did in Daytona... I felt every bit of it especially when the seatbelts locked and grabbed me. They did their job.
The Firestone in Greenville, Pa closed several years back some time in the late 70's. I never bought any of their products. Of course Greenville is no longer that much of a town and has become one of the worst places to live.
Nate guy's wife Marion told me about your accident, when I asked if Nate's hummer was the big B friend since it was yellow. Plus, each air bag getting put back in place is at least $150 per bag minimal
I work in an auto body shop. Been doing this line of work for 13 years here. When I got wrecked and I got out of the car and looked at on the side of the highway, I knew already the car was done.
I saw how the frame rail shifted the whole front end to the left and saw the quarter panel crushed on the bottom. I got airborne and landed on the wall on that quarter. Absolutely crushed the undercarriage. Gone. Just gone.
I know how much all this stuff costs and just the air bag module from GM (assuming I can still get one from them) and the driver and passenger seat belt assemblies would already have me at over $500. Then comes the mechanical work. The frame would need pulled. The undercarriage and quarter replaced in that entire section. Rad support was shot. Rad blew out because after the impact, my heater went cold telling me I lost all of my coolant. It was a violent impact. Lower control arm was broken in half, I'd need 2 new wheels AGAIN and 2 new tires, engine cradle looked bent. New fender, headlight, and bumper... even if i got used parts... It was just too much even if I went to a junkyard and pulled all the parts myself.
I know you know Wallie but those individuals who may be on the clueless side that would even think you were faking it. You loved the b friend, Nate loved it, we all loved the b friend. She will be missed. And we are blessed we still have you

I am. But my best friend, Mary, had this car available through her dad and being in my situation, it was the best I could do which actually really helped me. Her dad sold it to me for a great deal and let me do payments. I'm actually very grateful for that. But don't worry... I'll be back in a GM car in due time.
Believe me... I am NOT a Nissan person. I don't like their CVT transmissions and I know it's just a matter of time until I'm changing mine out. But I'm grateful this car was available to me for a great price and low miles for the age. 115k miles plus it's a southern car so, absolutely zero rust anywhere. So I'm not going to argue. Plus, I enjoy the heck out of the car. It's fun to drive. Not my Bee Friend but I embrace having this car.
@@WallieB26 Thank you for responding! No argue. This is the first video i've seen the bee damage and the replacement so it was more jarring than anything. But I get it I've driven random cars cuz of similar situations. Keep up that grind your content is maturing well!

I designed a subdivision just down the road from there many many years ago, behind the Honda dealership. Great Video as usual!!
Good to see you back making abandoned videos! Sorry! About your Bee friend! Glad you okay! Good video!
Great video. I’m glad you were ok, you were in a very solid car.

I was also suprised ro see it closed, now all that's left in that lot is the Wendy's (I'm suprised it still has its old look
With the impending development with the mall, I question whether or not Wendy's or the franchisee decided against remodeling it in case of closure.
I have a black cat named Cricket 🐈⬛ She often sits on my lap while I am watching your videos! Always wishing you the best❤💚
The Bee Unalived Itself when you started wearing the Buffalo gear....
Paint the Sentra yellow and you will be paying homage to your dearly departed Bee.
It's crossed my mind. I even thought of redoing the pin stripes in the Bee's paint code.

They offered a factory yellow color on some of the Nissan Sentra SER models in that time period. Very similar to the Bee color.
