"Let's roll up a throne..." fukkin awesome
Ben, your presentation, diction, and analysis have truly raised the standard of RUclips RPG channels. I am principally a Colvillain, but your vidz blow my mind like the chillest creepy 17th century chamber music a boy could imagine. This is the closest I have ever been to jumping in on Patreon lol
    Bravo.

Totally agree, a table should always fit on 1 page. If it's too long, then break the table into different tables based on 1 of its columns.

If you're late to the party (like me) and can't find the PDF anywhere, Matt Finch is releasing a revised edition of this book through Mythmere Games and Kickstarter.
    PDF due in May!

This should also help out anyone looking to do some creative writing. It could have the alt title of "The Tome of Infinite Stores".

I show this book in action in many of the solo RPG vids on my channel. It’s a great resource for soloists but of course all GMs.

      Any particular video?

It is discussed at length in the video that is my current trailer @6.31 and shown in demo games throughout my channel--I'm not really sure which vids off the top of my head. I'm pretty sure I use it in the vid called "Old School Fantasy RPG" and also the "Silent Legions" one. It's in and out of many vids on the channel.

Deborah! I was watching this video and thinking of yours. :-)
This book (TOAD) also reminded me of another book of random tables. There are 2, actually. Both based on d30, same author, one from 2012 and the other from 2013. "DM Sandbox" Something. They have stats for B/X and AD&D1e.
      Great video, Ben!

I loved this. OSR has so many great resources that can be interpreted or utilized for almost any fantasy setting.
    Seriously looking at getting this.

The TOAD is fantastic. I whipped up a script to automatize output from these tables and use them in my sandbox games all the time.

03:36 A roll of the two digit die at 00 and a roll of the one digit die at 1 is 01, not 10.

I really love this book, got recommended it by another channel for doing solo adventures as well, but in general it works fantastically for most Fantasy games (might require a bit tweaking in Sci-Fi or Post-Apocalyptic if you're not a Gonzo person though).

Ben, love the video. This book is on my list to buy soon. Do you have a review of Beyond the Wall? I recently stumbled across it, but I haven't been able to find a high quality cover to cover review of it yet. You have a tremendous amount of experience with these products, I would like your honest opinion on it.

    Milton's Icey Serpent
Summons a small snake like spirit made of ice. Whilst it can move and deal a small amount of damage on a bite, when it moves it leaves a trail of slippery ice in its wake. Creatures moving across that trail must save or fall prone.

    d1000 table isn't "impossible", just roll 3d10; 3 0s = 1000. Edit: Obviously, first d10 = hundreds, second d10 = tens, third d10 = ones. Roll them one at a time.

We re-used the cover art when an artist fell through, so when we ran out of stock and did the reprint, we got new art. The interior is exactly the same - no changes at all.

I just found this book (2nd ed. hardcover) at an HPB for $37.50. I bought it immediately, came up at the register as $75, she changed it back to $37.50. I feel like I just stole it lol.
