Cérémonie du 80e anniversaire de la Libération de Besançon
La place du 8-Septembre accueillait ce dimanche la cérémonie du 80e anniversaire de la Libération de Besançon. Élus, civils et militaires sont venus rendre hommage à tous les artisans de la Libération ayant œuvré pour le retour de la liberté dans la capitale comtoise.
L’occasion de célébrer les héros de l’époque mais aussi d’appeler à la vigilance pour les années à venir.
Évènement :
Avec la présence d’unités militaires françaises et américaines conduites par le Général de division Jean-Pierre FAGUÉ, Commandant la 1re division, Commandant d’armes de la garnison de Besançon, commandant la base de défense de Besançon, Délégué militaire départemental du Doubs, et le Lieutenant Général Charles D.Costanza, Commandant du Vème Corps américain.
Présence du Maire de Charlottesville, ville jumelle de Besançon, M. Juandiego Wade.
Musique : Batterie Fanfare des Sapeurs-pompiers de Besançon et Orchestre d’Harmonie municipal de Besançon.
Et la participation exceptionnelle de la cantatrice Isabelle DRUET.

Ceremony of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Besançon
This Sunday, the Place du 8-September hosted the ceremony of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Besançon. Elected officials, civilians and soldiers came to pay tribute to all the artisans of the Liberation who worked for the return of freedom to the Comtoise capital.
The opportunity to celebrate the heroes of the time but also to call for vigilance for the years to come.
Event :
With the presence of French and American military units led by Major General Jean-Pierre FAGUÉ, Commander of the 1st division, Weapons Commander of the Besançon garrison, commander of the Besançon defense base, Departmental military delegate of Doubs, and Lieutenant General Charles D. Costanza, Commander of the American Fifth Corps.
Presence of the Mayor of Charlottesville, twin city of Besançon, Mr. Juandiego Wade.
Music: Besançon Fire Brigade Fanfare Drums and Besançon Municipal Harmony Orchestra.
And the exceptional participation of the singer Isabelle DRUET.
