      How about a second esp32 hardwired with i2s that pulls data from the master and then it has its Wi-Fi Port free to conduct traffic with the internet

    • @u2bist
      @u2bist 4 года назад +2

      @@pipercolt1963 Yes, I'm pretty sure a single ESP can't use a mesh network and wifi network at the same time, so you would have to wire two of them together.

    As an example of sending messages between specific nodes, I'm setting up outdoor lighting using motion sensors. When a sensor is triggered it will send a message to turn on specific lights. But I only want lights to turn on if it's dark outside, and I don't want to equip each light with its own daylight sensor. So I intend to use a single daylight sensor located out in the open. When a light is told to turn on, it will first ask the daylight sensor if it's night, and will turn on only if the response is yes.

    I’m looking at 2 projects and think this could solve both.
    I need 4 wireless 100mm push buttons to stop a timer. They would be a maximum of 50m away from the control box.
    I’m wondering if I can use 4 smaller less smart boards and possibly 1 Arduino Uno R4 as it has an esp32 chip.
    The control board would have dual clocks counting down.

    As for your sound, although it is of good quality, you could make it great by getting a microphone that picks up less of the surrounding sounds so that it doesn't pick up echo from the room. You could also pad the room a little with some sound-absorbing materials to reduce the echo.

    These are good for a simple use in ones own house, but could you go on to expand how you would make a generic product and the the end customer set up the devices for connectivity. You wouldn't want to ship all devices with the same name. Can there be a button on the module to send it to talk to a bluetooth app on a phone to co figure it. So many tutorials miss out on the important steps to take a concept from demo to customer ready.
