I do love a classic preppy look. One of my favorite brands to thrift is vintage Ralph Lauren. The other day I found two great linen Bermuda shorts vintage made in Hong Kong Gap from the 80s 90s.😊. Enjoy your videos.
I love the preppy look. I think we can trace it back further though - in the 1920s in England, Prince Edward helped to move sportswear into daywear, and wearing a soft but smart look was definitely a thing for both young men and young women, especially connected to Oxford and Cambridge universities. I think the 1950s was possibly more American preppy, with Ivy League influences. I guess it depends on where you live!
My default is Preppy, especially at work. I am sure the style first originated in top British Universities, think Brideshead Revisited. Oxford must have claimed it first.
Loving these style guides, super useful, haven't recognised my style yet so i will definitely keep watching. Thank you MM
Maria, I am always watching and enjoying your video❤

What’s the other 10%?

Picked up a lilac polo dress to hop on board but that’s about as far as I’m willing to go for this preppy trend
