Hamas use tricks like waving white flags, being shirtless to show that they have no bombs strapped to them, but they wear low slung bombs. Hamas are adept at all kinds of deception. The IDF are not clairvoyant. If they were used to international rules of warfare from the terrorists - they would not have reacted according to what they always got.

The irony is she looks better after she was released than when she was in Israel all her life. Maybe Gaza's atmosphere isn't as polluted yet as other cities in Israel, so it makes her skin better and less haggard than staying in main cities.

The more Israel's brutality of the Palestinians inside their concentration camps, is exposed, the more it makes sense that the Palestinian resistance was primarily motivated to have a prisoner swap. This explains why the took hostages.

The land is disputed land and Israel pulled out of Gaza many years ago. Both Jews and Arabs have been living on that land for thousands of years and are indigenous. It was the Arabs that said no to piece in 48. That’s because they wanted all the land with no Jews. There could have been a Palestinian state alongside a Jewish state all those years ago if the Arabs really wanted one. They just had to say yes.

When released in the first prisoner swap, looking at Ahed Tamimi"s face told you she was traumatized. The vast difference in how prisoners look after release is astonishing. The israeli prisoners are taken care of even with food shortages in Gaza.
I doubt that Hamas experiences the food shortage since they probably steal from the humanitarian trucks before civilians get a chance. And get food from the tunnels to Egypt.

There is also a slight difference in being an innocent civilian that they still need to bargain with or a suspected terrorist. How would your country treat suspected terrorists in a wartime situation when there are a lot of them being captured and there are not many placed or recources to put/keep them. The info that Hamas had offered to release all the captives even before IDF stepped into Gaza (at the start of the video) is not confirmed, and most importantly - the purpose of Hamas operation was to take hostages in order to exchange them for the Palestinian prisoners, therefore, such offer would be illogical. (And they couldn't have become scared all of a sudden and make such an offer - for sure, they knew that there will be retaliation by israel.)

Have you checked out how the Thai government were able to negotiate the return of their hostages. What was interesting was the interview with one of the returned hostages. His family said he wasnt the same person. He had anger issues, and was having a hard time integrating back into the village. When pried by the journalist, about conditions the hostage lived in, he said that he was beat and tortured for a period of time. Then he and the other thais were left alone. I watched the video. Maybe it’s my bias but it seems like the guy had a gag order either from his own government or both because Thailand does not want to get in the middle of this. These are poor farm workers who have no stake in any of this except to get paid.

There sure is a difference.The Israeli prisoners are still alive and are not turning up later as dead bodies.The 4 dead hostages in Gaza were found in a tunnel in a civilian house. The trapdoor was in a childrens room and hidden by a carpet. .
Many Palestinian hostages in Israeli concentration camps have died/been murdered. Including a young boy who was sodomized by an electric stick.
70 hostages have been killed by Israel's relentless bombing of Gaza. They were killed by the IOF, not Hamas.
I saw suffering on the faces of the returned Israeli hostages. The men looked bewildered their faces had a ghost like hollow look about them. As for Noa Argamani her face was smiling but had lost the light that once shone from it. The hostages have talked about mental and physical torture and the belief that the young women were raped. To dismiss their suffering the way this video does is to disregard their experiences as nothing.
