    If you're going out for a big game or tournament, make sure to bring back-ups for everything. Back-up marker, hopper, tank, mask, pod pack, extra pods, extra parts if it's a quick fix, back-up shoes, back-up pants in case they rip, back-up jersey in case it rips, etc. Basically back-ups for everything you possibly can for those big games and tournaments.

    +1 for bondhus Allen keys, I've been a maintenance engineer for 20 years and have used them exclusively for 10 of them. They are the rolls Royce of Allen keys, virtually unbreakable, and very corrosion resistant. The ball ends are ground very precisely too. Best in the world.

      Ive always had Eklind, theyre very nice. Used to work in a machine shop where we used lots of 1/2-13 bolts, so my 3/8 has been well used, including having a 6ft pipe used as a cheater bar daily for 2 years.

    I keep one of the plastic ammo boxes in my kit.
    In it I keep a set of each metric and sae hex keys, needlenose pliers, channellocks plus rubber grippers, a few screwdrivers, a hook and pick set, PE grease, PE oil, purple Loctite, autococker valve tool, 6" adjustable wrench, wire strippers, snap ring pliers, cutter for macroline, a tank pressure tester, and an extra asa with short piece of macro sticking out for draining tanks
    I keep the O-rings and extra parts in a separate box
    Forget those stupid expensive microfibers, get a pack of 10 or 15 microfibers for $10, theres no reason to spend more than $10 on a single cloth

I also always bring my extra extra stuff in case someone needs something so you can sell some of the stuff you don't really need.

    Does color matter on your equipment? I mean, is that an important drive to pay more money for the same product just with different colors?

    • @averydondershine9877
      @averydondershine9877 6 лет назад +2

      I try to keep it all black, its usually the cheapest color and it is way less noticeable when you are playing in the woods or even on an air ball field. It doesn't make a whole lot of difference in air ball, but it for sure does in the woods.

    • @MyPaintballLife
      @MyPaintballLife 6 лет назад +2

      some people will pay more for certain colors as they like how it looks better or trying to match with their gear, but in all honesty plain is the way to go unless your a fan of a certain color way such as dyes dye cam colors.

    baby shampoo. i'm super cheap. i make up a little spray bottle of a 1:1 baby shampoo to distilled water. take that to clean goggles through the day of playin'. when i clean my mask after a day of playin' i take a shower with it on then i rub strait shampoo onto the inside of the lens after my shower and let it set overnight. lightly buff off next day and put gear away ready for the next game.
    no matter how tired i am i wont go to sleep with a dirty uncleaned up mask. i'll take a day or two sometimes to clean up the rest of my gear but the mask gets clean before bed.

    • @allahallah123
      @allahallah123 6 лет назад +1

      That depends a lot on whether or not you're willing to buy used (there are reputable used dealers such as Trademygun) and how much you're willing to spend. New you could go for the Gtek160r, RSX/XLS, or DSR. If used is something you're open to, you can often find LV1s and GEO 3/.1/.5s going for under 700. Next time you go to your local field ask around and see if anyone is willing to let you try their gun out so you can get a feel for the way it shoots and ergonomics.

    Should I be worried with using oil around my gun and in it since I've heard stories of people getting oil in their tanks and exploding

    • @allahallah123
      @allahallah123 6 лет назад

      As long as you only oil the parts that need oil. Just know that all you really need is a drop on the O-rings

    • @rickjamesbitch_3749
      @rickjamesbitch_3749 6 лет назад

      Josh Stone is using lube also fine on the o rings and other parts ?

    • @allahallah123
      @allahallah123 6 лет назад

      It depends on what kind of gun you're shooting, that will determine what kind of lubrication and where.

    • @averydondershine9877
      @averydondershine9877 6 лет назад

      The only way your tank could ever possible explode is if you put oil directly inside the tank or into the fill nipple, otherwise its perfectly safe to lube anything else (only danger is that it might not work as well).

      Multipurpose Grease is an absolute last resort, but I can't imagine a time when you'd need to use it. If you don't have any grease and you have a game the next day, probably best to turn up and ask someone politely if you could borrow some or ask the site staff if they have any for sale or to borrow before playing.

    • @allahallah123
      @allahallah123 6 лет назад +1

      While yes, there are some cases where you could get away with using vaseline it does not do the job as well as proper grease or oil. Having a lubricant with the proper viscosity goes a long way for the longevity of the O-rings, not to mention they often handle temperature changes better. You "COULD" get away with lubing the PE gamma core with peanut butter (it's been done, look it up) that doesn't mean it's the best tool for the job.
