Hi. I have really enjoy this video. This just puts the finishing touches on me after watching your series on how to use the chord track videos. They were all awesome. You introduced me to the feature in Cubase called “Live Transform” that I had nerver heard of, from anyone about this feature. It is going to improve my workflow in Cubase tremendously. Thank you so much for this informational journey this weekend. To top it off with this lesson on groove agent is even more beneficial to me because I was not great at finding drum patterns and putting them together but, you have given me a great starting point today. Thank you for that also. I wish you continued success with all of your music and videos for the future. Please keep making these video and showing us all, how to utilize & learn all the features that Cubase has to offer us. I also wish you continued financial success as well. Have a wonderful day. I know I will have a great day and a wonderful week from what I have just stubbles and learn from you this weekend. I can’t thank you enough.
Excellent tutorial!. I've had GA4 for about a year but haven't really used it because I found it too complicated. It's soo different from Superior Drummer and Eazy Drummer for example. This video makes me want to dive in immediately! I love the integration with Cubase! More tutorials like this and we'll all be experts in no time.
Your videos are very good! I've learned a lot from them, you just do it a little too fast and it's hard to follow. I often have to stop the video and rewind it so I can track everything. Thank you so much for the videos!
I`m completely new to drums, and this was super informative. I have a question though. Are you able to import different pre recorded drum patterns? Also are you able to do something like with a program such as tabit, where you can program each hit?
I was following along with the video using Groove Agent 4.2 and found that there is no option to route Groove Agent midi out to the GA midi track I set up. There is no GA-midi out to choose from in GA. There is one in GA-SE. How would I route the midi from GA to the midi track? Thanks, Alan
Good morning. A question about Groove Agent: after dragging a pattern into the track, how do I stop the playback that continues indefinitely beyond the event? 😒 Thanks.
Question! Do the grooves and fills change based on tempo and time signature? For example if I wanted to record a song in 6/8.. would the grooves that are already inside of GA4 change to that 6/8?
Thanks for the tutorial however the midi pattern is not starting at the beginning-it seems to start a quarter of the way though the pattern can anyone help?
Hello John yes I noticed this too, I am just starting this groove agent SE4. I want to have crash cymbal on the first beat after the intro but it starts in the middle. Do you know how to tackle this? Thanks , Kind Regards Wim
This is a great tutorial! I have a problem with my "Complexity slider." It use to show up, now all that is there a is a panel that says "swing grid, swing, grate swing, etc." Does anybody know how to get the Complexity slider back?
Hi everybody! 1. And how can I make the drum kit visible on the Groove Agent SE? I can not find. 2. Does Cubeis Pro version 9 have Groove Agent 4, or only Groove Agent SE?
Men Pamansky you get the one in the video, Groove Agent SE. I haven’t used the full version of GA so I’m not sure how big of a difference, if at all, there is. I know there is no upgrade path from SE so I’m guessing the only difference is SE is locked to be used in Cubase only, whereas GA full could be used in any DAW you wish.
Hmmm... Why don't you create a DRUM MAP from the GA-Kit ? Then the DRUM-EDITOR opens by clicking on the track and all your drum-instruments and patterns are named correctly from the kit you've chosen. Now it´s much easier to find the trigger notes for the patterns. (correct me if I´m wrong!)
That doesn't make sense - The tempo of the pattern plays at the tempo of the project. Unless you're using drum loops of course . . . that's a different issue
"I assign the output of Groove Agent to the input of the MIDI track". In my inspector control, the output/input doesn't mention the groove agent. What do I do wrong ?

Beautiful illustration.
Extremely helpful. Five star video. Thanks!
This small workflow improvement is so useful and a huge time saver, thank you!!!!
This DAW it's amazing

Great vid. Thanks
Thank you! This is the tutorial I was looking for. Really useful.
Whoa, this helps a lot. I somehow weren't able to get the single drum instruments to show up as midi data when I chose patterns.
very helpful bro
Great. Thank you
I LUV IT!

Amazing.....
Excellent, but I cannot find how to stop the pattern repeating and I think it is in previous video but cannot find it. Help?

Cool tricks,, I have both SE and Full GA, I dont have your kit "Mr. SP mix 02" is it a add-on from Steinberg or did your own?
+Robert Gilbert Sorry I was not advanced enough in time, its Simon Phillips, it sound very different of all the others, very good
+Robert Gilbert It is REALLY good:)
I love you! You just gave me longer life!

Спасибо! Очень хорошо!
Thank You! :D
can you change the view of the midi grid so notes fall inside the squares ?
This is good stuff
There's drum kits, and, patterns, and styles. Is styles are patterns from other kits?
Can Halion Bbox be triggered in a similar fashion?
I don't have the 'style' button on the pattern section or the complexity slider, why is this? I have Cubase 9 pro and Groove Agent SE4 version 4.2.40.
Thanks for the tutorial however the midi pattern is not starting at the beginning-it seems to start a quarter of the way though the pattern can anyone help?

You have to have Groove Agent in Pattern Mode to see the Complexity slider

+Gerhard Binkele o.k. - I was to fast... it is shown later in the video. But I would use this possibility in the beginning too.
+Gerhard Binkele As always, you are right.
what would you do if the tempo of the patterns and your project are different?
That doesn't make sense - The tempo of the pattern plays at the tempo of the project.

seriusly, do somthing like kamelono, steinberg!

Way too complicated logic pro x drummer is the best...sorry
