I miss the actual Dollar Menu, their salad shakers, the snack wraps, and the all day breakfast. I sure hope it comes back soon.
All day breakfast is still thing in many places, at least here in Ontario it’s at every location
@@darkbrightnorth not here in northern Alabama though.
Franchisees hated all day breakfast, Covid killed it and they'll never bring it back.
🙏
All their food is shit. How can you miss eating shit?
Bring back the dollar menu!
I think it was a decade long promo
I wouldn’t feed my animals for a dollar, have a bit more self worth my friend
@@Graeme_Norgate smh that makes no sense. If the economy was better and inflation reduced, prices would normalize and you could actually afford food for even your pets at a $1. Im in my 30s and remember a time when a can of pet food cost a $1.
The REAL Dollar menu…
Belgian here. It still exists in my neck of the woods (don’t know about other Euro countries). It’s called Eurodeals.
you forgot the Bagel breakfast sandwiches. The Steak, Egg, & Cheese is simply fantastic. Glad they brought it back.
Indeed. There was no mention of biscuit sandwiches either.
Yes I missed them and I wish that you could get them for lunch if you didn't want a burger
As a kid growing up in the 80's I have fond, and sometimes painful, memories of the lava filled fried apple and cherry pies.
What about the Big and Tasty? It was a burger with everything on it, and the beef patty was the biggest sized patty they had on the menu. For the short time I worked at McDonald’s is when they introduced it. I I used to love it. I believe it lasted over a year.
Wasn’t that basically just the quarter pounder deluxe?
i knew i was forgetting one. the B&T was a staple in our orders for as long as it lasted
@@trapez77 it is. But now with a new name and triple the price!
Its still in Europe!
@@Windruzhed What?!? Now I’m jealous!
Fun Fact: The Cheddar McMelt which failed in the US became McD's best selling burger in Brazil to this day. So much so that all other burgers franchises and local burger joints ALL have a version of it on their menu. It literally changed the culture.
It’s been over 35 years and I still remember enjoying the Cheddar Melt sandwich. It was delicious!
Missed the pies, they used to have apple, cherry & blueberry. Also had McDonald Land cookies, and Chocolate Chip ,,they even had hot dogs for a short time.
The cherry pies were really good when I was a youngster. I can still taste it now.
All day breakfast was my favorite
facts
And Spurlock, a closet alcoholic, passed off his terrible blood work as being caused from Micky Ds. Even the doc in the film couldn't believe it and turns out, rightly so.
THANK YOU! We should stop celebrating this man and pointing out what he actually was; A lying drunkard.
Didn’t he pass away a few weeks ago?
Their butter milk crispy tenders were so good, I still miss them whenever I eat McNuggets
I think you missed the Big and Tasty in the list, it was pretty good for those of us who like tomato. The snack wrap was the best thing they've had on the menu though. It sucks when they brought it back it was like twice the price of a mcchicken or mcdouble so defeated the purpose of a supposed "snack". My buddies and I used to get 2 of them for each of us and go hiking or whatever making it a genuinely healthy fast food option cause it wouldn't upset our stomachs and wasn't greasy.
"It's YOU! McMUFFIN!"
-Drunk guy, Super Bad 😂
McMuffin; isn’t that when an audience considers a plot device that’s important yet insignificant?
@@chrismayer3919 Well since you put it that way...no. lol Probably
They need to bring back the chicken tenders they were so good!
Chicken Selects were my favorite menu item that McDonald's ever did. Also that jalapeno quarter pounder is probably my favorite sandwich they did (beyond McRib).
I have fond memories of eating the Chicken Fajitas with my grandma in the ‘90s at McDonalds. I also loved their premium chicken sandwiches that came on a delicious, thick brown bun during the 2000s.
Those were delicious believe they were called santa fe chicken fajita
You left out the donut sticks and the buttermilk chicken tenders.
11:19 mark, they mentioned the Buttermilk Chicken Tenders.
What they missed were pop corn chicken!! That crap was so good!
Nobody seems to remember the McTeriyaki burger. It was a regular bun with a sausage patty, lettuce, and teryaki mayo sauce. So good! I've only had them at 2 locations: One in Tennesse, and the other in Sasebo, Japan!
I miss the mcdlt. I loathe hot lettuce and usually leave it off.
It was better than the disgusting McCrispy Chicken glopped with sauce and pickles.
There's no $1-2-3 any longer. Nothing on the menu is $1. The last item priced at $1 was the soda, and that ended in 2022.
they even ended refills
That's Bidenomics!
It's a seasonal thing in Canada
The most important thing McDonald’s needs to bring back is the obvious one, better prices
And they coke literally pays him them in Russian Dollars to store their syrup after they extract and sell the cocaine to the Cuban Drug Cartel!
7:43 Awesome to see that George Constanza made it his summer by advertising the DLT.
The McDonald's menu song lives rent free in my head, so it's nice to finally see what the heck the McDLT was.
I loved the Angus burgers
The angus ⅓ pounder? Yeah. The mushroom and swiss was great, but they had several ways you could order them. Those were great. . .
I don’t eat meat 🍖
Then why did you comment? @@PraveenSrJ01
@@AVWUVU great point 🙂
@@PraveenSrJ01. Bye
I just want my snack wraps again
me too nishki
@@Riot7801 10 years in the joint..................
For me their simpler items will always be their best.
That's true.
@@Honey-Sanchez There's much to be said for uncomplicated. At the end of the day, a hamburger with some condiments is enough for me.
Bring back the Big Mac dipping sauce
As an Aussie I'm proud to say McDonald's McCafé was first introduced in Melbourne in 1993 in recognition of Australia's coffee culture.
I remember Chicken McNuggets from as early at 1979. I ate them in 1982.
7:46 The McDLT is one of my top Lost Foods.
12:06 I love the Pokémon Go joke about Pokémon appearing at McDonald's.
I want the arch deluxe back, the big and tasty, the sauteed onion and swiss melt, the salad shakers and just the salads in general. And then when I worked there in 2018, they had a special burger that had bacon jam and some really good honey mustard on it. Those are the best items to me!
The chicken fajitas stayed around until the introduction of the snack wrap. I absolutely loved them, and it's one of the older items that I'd want to see come back.
In my area, the salad shakers showed up around 98 or 99. The Arch Deluxe showed up in 99.
8:48 fun fact… the Guantanamo Bay McDonald’s still serves Mighty Wings
As a torture method or an actual food item?
Don’t forget the popcorn chicken In the 2010s. If we as a people forget to bring it up in stuff like this it will never come back! 😢
Thanks for so useful and informative video as always ❤❤❤
1988 with the California Rasins👏🏾❗️
If you google McDonalds prices all I found was they once had 15 cent hamburgers when I know I paid 12 cents around 1958. As a little kid if I had a dollar I would get a 12 cent french fry and 12 cent burger, sit on the nice tile bench built into the building and watch them cut huge potatoes with a big hand press. Not only was everything better, seems like hamburgs had a more meat in them!
You did awesome narrator 😊
Left out the goated jalapeño McDouble. Best thing they’ve ever made.
Sadly, there was no mention that McDonald’s sold fried chicken for a brief period in the 1960’s.
Their sundaes debuted in 1977, you forgot to add that
I would love to see something on arthur treacher's fish and chips, i grew up with it and it seemed so great.
Most people don't realize that the the Big Mac was a copy of the double decker burger from Big Boy, made 30 years prior.
Bring back the McDLT!!!
And the Grand Mac!!!!
Where's the Apple Pies ? Of course, the Apple Pies were ruined by baking them
I loved the McCheddar Melt, Mighty Wings, and their hot dogs! 😊
The white cheddar and onion burger 😊
I would like to hear the history and find out whatever happened to zesto's
It still exists in Nebraska
@@austinpena5605 oh I wish we still had them here when I was a kid I used to love their fish baskets
They have a couple other of locations in Atlanta!
I heard of this resturant but haven't seen any here in social area yet. I also would like a video on this.
I miss the angus burgers 😢
Too dry
How anyone can eat that shit today is beyond me. The amount of chemicals designed to alter your neurochemistry to want more of it is the reason why they're #1 in fast food.
The Mc DLT was the TRUTH!!! 😅
why specific hamburger McDLT?
You're right about that, it was so good!
I miss the raspberry Danish.
Cleveland Ohio got the beloved Michael Dean Perry burger, the M.D.P. Burger in the early 90s. That joint was a TREAT as a kid. It was huge!
Do the history of the Burger King Kids Club next time.
I actually got to have their pizza many times over the years, as I worked in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace and the McDees at the Barbary Coast across the strip serve it at the time. It was always made to order, so always fresh and it wasn't bad and the cost was cheap as well, not a bad pizza. The McDLT is hands down my favorite McDonald's item they ever served over the years, and I can't remember how many I ate for the few years it was available, but it was a lot. Cool video, thanks for the walk back in time.
Not sure if this can be included but you forgot to include the infamous Mulan Szechuan Sauce 😁
I really miss the Super Size option, so does my Cardiologist
If you were quick to notice, Jason Alexander was the Mc D.L.T. actor. It may have lasted as long as the summer of George.
I miss the steak breakfast burrito. The sausage one is fine, but the steak one was on a whole other level.
I heard somewhere McDonald’s is bringing the dollar menu back, my favorite item of all time was the McDLT, I think that needs to come back in the worst way
I wish that mcdonalds couldn't say they have $1 menu at all, nothing has been $1 in several years here
For me it was the 80’s menu. Back then the food was always hot and fresh.
Bring back the grilled chicken!
I don't like the burgers, so it was my go to during no breakfast hours.
No the place is good only for breakfast
In the UK less than a year ago they briefly put the philly cheese steak burger on the menu and it was delicious. I believe it was a limited time seasonal item
$.19 for a cheeseburger in 1953 is about $2.26 today.
I miss the chicken snack wraps and the southwest salad 😢
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, Bring back the original steak and egg bagel breakfast sandwich, it was food to die for!
Need all day breakfast to return!
Come to Canada where it still lives on.
Thanks for this! 🍟
Last time I went into a McDonald's the coffee was $1.09 and McChicken was $1.00. My favorite breakfast was the sausage eggs and cheese 2 for $3.00. lol that was a few years ago.
2:11 The "All American" in that ad is pure genius, that meal should be on the menu!
Thanks for this! I hope the menu retrospectives become a series. I'd love to see a comprehensive history of the Starbucks menu at some point. They've come a long way from only selling bags of coffee and tea and are kind of all over the place with the selection now, but it's interesting how they've responded to trends and set some of their own over the years.
Didn’t they have something called the Cheddar Onion burger at some point? Whatever it was called, It was a burger with grilled onions and a white cheese. That was my favorite thing to get for a long time.
I really miss the all day breakfast! I can eat their breakfast sandwich anytime of the day!
I used to work at McDonald's as a custodian. I quit 4 months before my 3 years was up. Now I work at Dairy Queen which I like to do more. Instead of being a custodian I work in the kitchen now I
Make Ranch
Toast Burger Buns
Make Toast For Chicken Strips Baskets
Drop Burger Patties
Make Bacon
Get Cheese from the fridge
Get Pickles from the fridge
Get Fries, Burger Patties, Get Onion rings, Fish Patties and Cheese Curds from the freezer
I loved eating the big mac I will admit when I worked there
I will say the McRib is good we had it during Christmas time the McFlurry is good. But Diary Queen blizzards are better
You didn't mention Steak breakfast bagels, there were threeof them. The Southwest omelet steak bagel was my favorite.
they're back in some parts of the country! i live in florida and they're here. the breakfast sauce is just as good as i remembered it being.
Why isn't the steak egg and cheese bagel on this list???? Best menu item ever.......
A few of those things will make someone’s arteries as hard as marble
Yes! You mentioned us! Uniontown, PA in the shopping center the Big Mac was "created". They tore down that location in the early 2000's and moved it a couple hundred feet away. Pittsburgh claims and is often mentioned as being the first location and it's aggravating.
Twist Cone?
Chocolate Chip Cookies?
I'm a huge McDonalds girl! Back in the 90s, my parents took me to McDonalds on Friday nights during our weekly grocery run. I loved the hamburger Happy Meals back then because I would never quite know what toy I would get. Whether it was Disney characters, Barbie, Beanie babies, Teletubbies or stuffed Furbies or even Shrek characters and the crazy but lovable Minions, Happy Meal toys were a weekly occurance in this special needs girl's life. I still can't get enough of those tasty chicken nuggets. Since I had a big appetite, my favorite meal at McDonalds was a side of 6 chicken nuggets a hamburger and French fries with an apple juice to drink and an ice-cream cone in a cup for dessert. Yum! I can still taste those fond savory flavors now! I even got a plastic McNugget friend once as a Happy Meal toy. Being a Canadian however, I never did experience the full American McDonalds experience until I went to a California McDonalds at age eight. Honestly, I love the Big Mac, the quarter pounder with cheese and their infimous chicken burger. I even had their double cheese burger a couple of times. I also love their egg Mcmuffin. I prefer the sausage and egg muffin with bacon on it with a side of hash browns. AKA the Mighty egg Mcmuffin. It's not on the menu anymore, but if you ask nicely, they'll make it for you. Also, their ice-cream brings back fond childhood memories for me. Back in the 90s, we used to get a baby cone with vanilla ice-cream or a small cookie sampler. Also, the Mcflurry was invented in New Brunswick Canada. I was even invited to a birthday party at McDonalds when I was ten and I had a smashing good time eating food and getting my picture with the famous Ronald McDonald clown himself. I fondly remember when McDonalds was promoting Shrek the Third and I had a Shrek themed McFlurry and I got a cup with Shrek and all his friends just for buying the ice-cream. Also, back in the 90s, we had a huge statue of Ronald McDonald himself sitting on a bench in our local restaurant. Since McDonalds' renovation, he's sadly no longer there. Also, I loved those salads that were on offering, but due to the pandemic messing everything up, we had to say good bye to those yummy treats. On the plus side, they still sell muffins and cookies as well as the McCafe fair like their signature smoothies and hot drinks. Nowadays, every time I order a Happy Meal, this 90s girl can reminice of the good old days when the toys were always a sweet surprise. For us nostalgic people, we love Happy Meal toys. We want to add them to our collections and every time we look or touch them, it reminds us of those easier times when we didn't have to pay bills or worry about life in general. Also, I tried the Mcrib recently and boy, was it ever spicy! No wonder it performed poorly back in the 80s. Also, the snack wraps are still available in Canada.
I was born in 94 ( turned 30 last month ) but it's always so fascinating to see how it was back then.
That McPhilly hit the spot, they should've kept that one on the menu 😋
I’d love for the cheddar melt to come back.
The late 1990s were the best time of my life!!!
Fun fact, McCafe was an aussie invention. Born in Melbourne, Australia at a McDonalds restaurant in 1993.
Sadly, the All Day Breakfast has not returned at any of the McDonalds around me - super unfortunate.
There are absolutely some of my old favorites, but another thing that has gone away are the Soups. I used to love getting Fries and a cup of Cream of Broccoli soup on a winter lunch outing! Dipping the fries in the soup was absolutely the best!

Honestly McDonalds should bring back the Tamales
Quarter pounder with a tub of hot mustard and a handful of fries. Beauty.
My fave butger at Maccas was the McFeast but it's not regular on the menu & only appears a few times a year
The McRib was and is AWESOME!
Hey! So long as you didn't think of McPizza as pizza, it wasn't bad, lol.
I ate quite a few of them when they were available...
i love mcdonalds but every year become more expensive so i dont eat there often anymore. In the netherlands the burgers are smaller than a few years ago aswell.
The McCheddar Melt (or Cheddar McMelt as we call it) is one of the best selling burgers here in Brazil, but legend says it was created and only sold here. I’m astonished that it was a late 80s creation and didn’t last long. Can’t wait to tell everybody about it
This video danced around more than Mexican Jumping Beans.
Jennifer Lawrence ordered a happy meal from her handler during the Oscars in 2013.
That was the ceremony she won Best Actress for Silver Linings Playbook.
i worked at mcdonalds when i was 15 back in 2000ish and there was Cajun McChicken (dis counted on saturdays while FoF was fridays etc) and they had a sourdough sandwich that introduced me to the wonders of the bread and used to have many more mcflurry flavors available at once.
just being nostalgic, but i'm kind of annoyed you only list a few things for almost 70 years of service, are you guys not allowed to go over 15 minutes? this would have been a great one to share if it was accurate and informative but
You forgot one of my all time favorites, the mushroom onion swiss burger. I could easily put away two of them.
The chopped beefsteak sandwich was reviled? I loved it!
Can we see a similar video for the menus of Wendy’s and Burger King?
what? No love for Fish McBites"? FISHY FISHY
Bring back chicken selects!!!!😢
I miss those clam shell boxes.
